And leave the AC button on all the time. No need to turn it off, ever. Just adjust temp as needed.

The windscreen will build up with crap over the seasons. I've used glass cleaner and a damp cloth alike and found little difference between the two although a damp cloth is just much easier to manage. Have 2 cloths, 1 damp and wipe with damp then wipe with thedry one to remove any streaks for a clean finish. Simples :cools:

Dumb question- today was the first rainy morning in my e46 and I couldn't get the side windows clear from condensation / mist! In my old car having light hot air blowing on the windscreen continuously would clear all the Windows (eventually) but in this car it doesn't. Any ideas?

If the "condensation" was very heavy, try checking around the footwells and door seals for leaks. Also, check that your pollen filter is dry and properly fastened.

Oh, and with the E46, water can and does get into the spare wheel and battery compartment in the boot, through the rear lights so definitely check that to make sure it hasn't filled up.

Also, with all the rain and lights I realised the inside of my windscreen Is ridiculously dirty- I hear that window cleaner is a no no because of the streaks. What is the best way of cleaning the inside?

Best thing it to use a clean dry cloth and clean it 2 or 3 times, even if it looks completely clean. Any time you start putting products or water near the inside of a windscreen it just smears when the sun next goes on it, and at this time of the year, there's often enough moisture which settles on the screen to give you a very small amount of water solvent.

Supply and demand says that if you are re-listing your wheels for the 5th time then price must lower to a point where demand and supply meet. Or you'll be re-listing them for a 6th time :D

Much as I'd love to be able to sell my pristine as-new 19 inch diamond cut wheels with almost new RFT's all round for 50% of the new price, it isn't going to happen. No amount of me saying 'buyer has to pay!!111' will change that.

If they are worth more to the seller, the seller keeps them ;)

Did not realise these were £570 a wheel new....with no tyres!

I thought to get hot air I need to turn the ac button off and use the temperature wheel on the vents on the dashboard, rather than using the temperature control on the ac unit? I don't really get hot air if I leave the ac button on.

When I press the clear windscreen button it turns on the air con at whatever temp I left it at and maximum fan aimed at the windscreen. However I feel warm air so I'm confused :(

The AC button just enables the climate to use the AC if necessary hence people saying to just leave it on. Even when its not cooling it dehumidifies the air coming in to keep it all clear.

If you want hot air...turn the temperature on the climate up or press the clear windscreen button, as you have found that will blast hot air at the glass.

the dial on the vent works in isolation to your climate control. If you like warm air being blown at your face then leave it on warm, cold on cold, not fussed then in the middle.

Keep your climate set to whatever temperature you like and leave it on. When it blows at the windscreen it doesn't really matter what temperature it's at (in the summer/autumn) - when it's cold outside it'll be blowing warm air anyway.

Its back again...

Should be good for the drive to Leeds tomorrow, even though the ride is worse than that in my M235i

Agreed. Its so sexy.

Any interior pics? Any why is that seat so far back?

Not yet, but can take some. No idea why the passenger seat is that far back, didn't even look at it to be honest, just moved the drivers seat to how I like to sit.

Also whats the rear leg room like? I imagine its pretty cool being a backseat passenger in that

Plenty but given its the size of a small planet not surprising really, the thing is absolutely $%£$%$%^%$ HUGE and is going to be a pain in the bum to park anywhere

Finally got a quote for getting the valves adjusted with new gaskets etc at £550 give or take, seem like a fair price? That means leaving it over night as needs to be done stone cold and courtesy car for the two days.

That..is...STUNNING!

Fantastic condition, don't think I've seen that looks that minty fresh in a long long while!

Looks superb, the 6GC interior!

Not sure on the dash carpet thing on that E30 though.... But the condition of that car is fantastic, looks superb.
