BMW and M Power Owners

My entire rear end and front bumper are being repaired in a week, doesn't take long for them to order in new parts, straighten everything out and paint them.

Surely you'd get a rental car from his insurance whilst it's in the garage?

You'll have it back in about a week, taking a complete punt at repair costs I'd say around the £5k mark for two doors fully built, sprayed plus whatever odds and ends need repaired around them

I had the opportunity for a go in the new I8 yesterday, its a very impressive bit of kit. It is a bit weird going from having an exhaust sound too completely silent at the push of a button or switching to reverse though. :)

The diff carrier has decided to start tearing itself from the floor of my e46 325i touring (quite literally tearing the floor pan :/ )

So, it's going and replaced with this....

E39 530i Sport Auto, 109k miles, new MOT, FSH and a newly refreshed cooling system - Rad, expansion bottles, thermostat, thermostat housing, water pump (with metal impeller ) and a new viscous fan clutch.

£1500

Ideally wanted another e38 but couldn't find a good one of the very few available, a mate had recently bought this e39 and offered it to me for what he paid for it (prior to carrying out the MOT and cooling refresh)

It's very different to my previous 528i SE.

It seems a ludicrous amount of car for the money and drives beautifully, I think it's got a very slight rumble from the n/s/f wheel bearing but I'm being extremely picky when saying that!

Black leather sports seats, black headlining M logo's on the sills (which look out of place but I presume are standard fit?) and a large tailpipe which equally looks a bit odd to me but again, standard on sport models from what I recall...

It's even in [TW]Fox Silver which I'm sure should be the correct name for the colour!

I appreciate even more why you love yours so much Fox.

Z4M, £15k, anyone got a buyers guide?

Check out the Z4 Forum, very useful and helpful over there :) http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/

These links should start you off:

They also have section for selling cars on the forum, worth checking if you're interested in getting a Z4M as they'll usually be well looked after if it's a forum regular.

Have you picked it up yet? Looks really nice, congrats! I'd love a 530i again here but can't justify the €1494 road tax at the moment :(

Good deal for that, Scania, thats auction type pricing so you did well there assuming that its all in order :)

Think I've dropped on nicely with it, a mate won it on an Ebay auction where he didn't think it would be the winning bid, it as initially advertised as requiring work with a very short MOT, he subsequently had the cooling system sorted and a fresh MOT put on it, he then re advertised it with a view to recouping his money when my e46 decided to tear it's floor, cue me asking what he'd let me have it for.....

He let me have it for what he initially paid, I let him live with me rent free around 10years ago for a while, he's just the type not to forget a favour and repaid the favour handsomely IMO!

Yes, I've got it and am running it, day one I needed a new tyre due to a nice shard of metal through the o/s rear and day two (today) the drivers side headlamp has failed (I presume just an H7 bulb required) so long as something doesn't happen on every subsequent day of ownership, I'll be happy! :)
