BMW and M Power Owners

Thanks ! I held out long enough which paid dividends, bizarrely the 428i is now cheaper than the 420d on a lease. Plan is to buy it outright at the end of the two years.

Make sure you can, most proper leases do not offer you the option to purchase the vehicle at the end so if you wanted it you'd need to find out which auction etc they put it through.

so what colour would you go for?

Estoril Blue, I absolutely love that colour. It's been my favourite BMW colour for as long as I can remember and one day I'd love a car in it.

I have grey myself at the moment and it's a great colour too, but it's not Estoril.

Hi guys

Need some quick advice. About to place an order for a 428i m sport GC and can't decide between Estoril Blue and Mineral Grey. EB looks awesome on the coupe but not too sure about the GC. Also I don't want the car to stand out too much and attract unwanted attention (getting keyed, scratched etc). Will go for a black leather interior plus the m sport plus package which includes the blue callipers which I think will go well with MG.

I know its a personal preference etc but wanted your thoughts.

Cheers

Did you get one of those ridiculously cheap £250 pm deals I saw on pistonheads?

yep

428i M sport GC
sport auto
m sport plus pack
pro nav
surround view
rear camera
lumbar
folding mirrors

£350/month

I think same spec 430d was £390 but couldn't extend my budget plus I only do 5k pa so doesn't justify a diesel (although a straight 6 would have been nice !)

On the 4GC I'd take Mineral Grey with black leather, I like EB but personally the MG looks classier on that car. I agree with you on the red, if it was just the seat facing then maybe, at a push, but all the lower dash plastics...ewwwww

I came across a 6 in EB...its a special order on the 6 and boy does it look wrong in that colour.

Would you fine young ladies recommend a change of tyre for a Z4 with 225/50/16 standard RE50A runflats?

Can't find or anything decent in this size but have seen the Eagle F1 Asy 2 for £120, but that's a 55 profile.

I'm not looking to change from the standard OEM 16" rims, just seeing what would be better than the pants runflats.

Don't seem to have great choice in that size :(.

Did you buy Woody's Z4 in the end then?

Decent, I saw the 420 GC for something like £269+VAT. Mental.

I'd take mineral grey. EB is far too common now. MG works better with red leather too :)

Aye, need to look at slight variations in sizes.

Having a test drive and doing the sums :)

Nice.

Problem seems to be it's such an awkward size you can't easily swap to another similar size (unless you don't mind the speedo being out a bit).

Maybe better to try and pick up some cheap 17" wheels? Try asking on Z4 forum what the best bet is, they're usually very helpful :).

Is Bluetooth audio streaming standard with the Pro Nav iDrive? I'm desperately trying to work out how to stream Spotify through the car and failing miserably!

Not any more it's not, you need Enhanced Bluetooth.

On his car he needs Enhanced Bluetooth (which can be easily coded in), but the newer cars (post week 36 2014 I think) have bluetooth streaming enabled by default.

Tell me more about this "easily coded in". :)

Not having that feature is a major pain.
