BMW and M Power Owners

The thing I found especially neat today was that you can get into it and set off onto the road within 15 seconds of unlocking the door from the house front door. I needed some milk and bread for the morning, normally I'd walk to the shops for such a thing but it was so easy and quick to take the i3 it just made me think "This is actually pretty damn cool".

Takes me less than 15 in my petrol car....

What lights do you have to let turn off before you turn on the car?

I can literally get in, clutch down, then turn key. Only have to wait about 2 seconds for the glow plug light to turn off if starting the engine from cold.

As I say, it's hard to describe, you just gotta try it out for yourself! I suppose you could say because it makes no noise while doing anything that gives the perception of everything being so quick during that process and because all the buttons are on the steering column...

There are a few:

Though every car is different :p

Well you put in a key, turn to position 2, let the dash lights go away and start the car, depress the clutch, engage 1st gear and begin to drive off. if it's a cold start you'd take it easy and so on. if it was cold outside you'd also be waiting for the engine to warm up to get heat from the vents.

With the EV it was a simple case of getting in, pressing start, pressing D and off it went full throttle or whatever and heating was instant :p

Edit*
I don't know how better to describe it than that! I would definitely recommend you try one and see for yourself! It is after all free.

Hmmm... there must be some sort of nonsense my car doesn't do regarding waiting for lights to go off etc.

I get in, depress clutch as I sit down, turn key in ignition, car starts and I release the clutch and drop the handbrake to begin movement, a total of about 5 seconds worth of activity. I also tend to 'take it easy' anyway if i'm just driving to the shops and back, I don't turn into Vin Diesel every time I sit in a car regardless :p

My car start process is exactly the same as that he has described in the i3..

How solid is is M57 lump?
For some reason I thought they suffered the same chain failures as the N47..

Is it worth getting a 325d instead of an E60 525d just for a N57? (204PS and better economy)
Don't fancy an early, high mileage F10.

The N57 is a better engine, it's more refined, quieter and less annoyingly diesel.

Indeed it's swift and sporty and very well insulted considering it's built almost entirely out of plastic and injected with carbon fibre!

It's only the 'lifecell' top hat that's carbon. Which incidentally is car on fibre injected with plastic rather than the other way round. End of march leaf deals were bonkers cheap compared to i3 money.

Absolutely no, but then it's already slammed on fake rimz so heck you might as well complete the set :p

I actually raised it a little! I've always liked the look of angel eyes it's a shame bmw never installed them on the e46. I may as well complete the look of looking like a ****.

It has oem xenons as standard.
