BMW and M Power Owners

I've not seen many with Xenon's, not sure if any ever had them? As I say, I don't know a huge amount yet. I just want to learn about the pricing and obviously any glaringly massive problems they can have.

I personally quite like the wheels and I guess that's all relative to personal taste, I fully expect most of the people in this thread to hate them :) But they're just wheels.

They had them. That car has no iDrive so crap media/infotainment. Probably crap speakers. Literally base spec apart from the M-sport.

Wheels not my cup of tea but I guess you could sell em.

No worries, as I say lots to learn, don't know what common specs I should be looking for in such motors. It's a bit pricey anyway and the kind of money I have in mind for an 08 plate 1 series is probably 2k less than their screen price :) Which no one is gonna go for if you were gonna go in that much under asking price.

Not to worry, I'll look into them a bit more :)

Just thought I'd ass myself to the list.

Here's my new 135i M Sport Auto :)

Listed my 335i on all of the normal websites to sell and had just paid for 6 weeks on Autotrader. Only to hear from a friend about 10 minutes later, who has bought it.

Looking forward to this weekend, my E39 530i Touring has been laid up for a few weeks with coolant and oil leaks.

Unsure of the coolant leak location, it's up near the header tank so possibly a split thank. The oil leak I think is the cam cover gasket and it drips onto the exhaust manifold.

I'm going to strip down and rebuild the VANOS whilst I'm in there and swap out the CCV system too so should be all-round improved.

If I have time, I'll also fit the M5 leather centre console and arm rest I picked up on eBay a few months back.

Also need to give it a good clean inside and out.

As good a place as any to ask, it's just a bit of a whim thing, I've seen this motor at a garage near to mine and it looks a nice car. Low owners, good miles, really tidy, nice colour combo (to me) and I personally like the wheels lol... I am doing approx 17 to 18k at the moment and doing that at 22mpg aint gonna be much fun and truth be told I'm not that into my Focus, it's quick but that's about it.

What should this motor really be worth... this dealer is renowned for selling good quality german stuff but that price looks nigh on 2k too much to me. But I'm not that up to speed on pricing of them at this milage/condition etc.

Thanks all.

Are you binning the idea of getting a respray then?

So got my car on Monday, thought I'd upload a picture or two.

So nice to drive, such a step up from my old 320d e90!

Engine is starting to loosen up nicely, performance is very good and then on a run it does this...not too shoddy

My only problem is the flat I've just rented in Manchester has an underground secure car park and the layout of the entrance means I can't swing into it, I have to reverse in, which must look very strange...

It's fantastic, smooth, quiet, good power delivery. Looking forward to getting it fully run in so I can use the power a bit more.

See, I find mine quiet loud when it's idling. Obviously much quieter than my 320d. I had a bit of a read around and it's a negative mentioned in a few places.

Also, do you enjoy the power more in normal or sport modes? I think I'm a bit weird as I love the turbo kick in normal!
