BMW and M Power Owners

See, I find mine quiet loud when it's idling. Obviously much quieter than my 320d. I had a bit of a read around and it's a negative mentioned in a few places.

Also, do you enjoy the power more in normal or sport modes? I think I'm a bit weird as I love the turbo kick in normal!

I've not found mine too bad. Maybe I'm just too used to diesel engines, or I'm deaf. But even people I've had in the car have remarked how quiet it seems.

And so far most my driving has been in normal or eco pro, but once things are worn in a bit more I'll probably thrash it more in sport and let you know :-p

Get it out of eco pro you utter heathen! How do you find the steering compared to the e90?

It's more to do with seeing what I can expect economy wise, rather than being a boring driver :p.

I find it significantly better, tigher, more responsive. I have no idea if that's because I've gone from an E90 ES to a F32 M Sport mind you lol.

Yeah, that probably helps! What you getting mpg wise? I'm currently bang on 30 here. Though I'm not exactly...calm

Engine is starting to loosen up nicely, performance is very good and then on a run it does this...not too shoddy

My only problem is the flat I've just rented in Manchester has an underground secure car park and the layout of the entrance means I can't swing into it, I have to reverse in, which must look very strange...
Bloody hell, I thought this was from Gosteh's 428i.
I was like WTF how is that possible from a 2.0 petrol turbo :o

Is that cruise control @ 60 on a dual carriageway or something?

Nope that was just following (roughly) the speed limits from Oldham M6/M1 to Northampton, so some 50's, most national, the obligatory boot it away from the M6 Toll booths in full sport mode :D, and some stop start in traffic as well.

TT is 10 year old design I think. I get a tad better than 53 on that sort of run tho. I've seen 58mpg.

Does it not frustrate you that you have a capable chassis yet you're limited by the engine?

I could understand wanting good mpg in a no-nonsense car such as a Passat or Golf or whatever, but in a TT? Doesn't compute :(

Is it even that capable a chassis, thought it was largely an understeering mess.
