So nice to drive, such a step up from my old 320d e90!

Lovely car i really do love the design of the 4 series. One of BMW's best designs since the E46 3 series i think.

Have you left out the 6 series? How could you!

But yes, the 4 series styling has grown on me quite a bit, though mostly only from the front and the side profiles. The back I'm still a bit hmmm about.

The 6 series is probably the ugliest premium motor on the road though...

Except for the bit where it quite obviously isn't

Which 6 series are we talking about current or last gen?

So a 10 year old one and a random picture of one in a matt brown paint finish we probably don't even get in the UK?

Take a look at an M Sport GranCoupe and it looks great. I'd post a pic but I can't be bothered to go through all that re-hosting faff.

The front end of the 'new' 6 still looks pretty awful.

The back looks great, though.

Old 6 in M-Sport looks amazing still, so muscular, so "I don't give a crap, I'm a 6 series get out of my way" - So right.

The new one just adds a dash of sleek to the whole mix.

I think the old one has a lovely side profile but the front and back ends look awful. The new one is a much, much sleeker design. This is a fact and therefore you're all wrong if you think differently, so stop arguing.

:p

I'm just holding off on a 2012 AUC X3 as the dealer has just sent me a video showing some fairly serious stone chips on the bonnet. My concen is that stone chips void the anti-corrosion warranty which will affect resale value of the car or worse could result in a costly repair for me down the road. Thoughts? Will a touch up by the AUC centre be sufficient? Is this actually something to be concerned about?

Oh, I didn't realise the M-Sport GranCoupe had a different front end?

Oh. It doesn't (bumper aside). Still looks rank. Grill is too low and squashed, and the lights are terrible. Although, that being said, it is nicer than the older one, that looks like Snoopy on smack.

The only BMW ever to beat it (out the factory), in the rank looking list, is the old 7 series...
