BMW and M Power Owners

Fitted angel eyes today. Wouldn't do it again, broke a headlight washer trim.

I know a part of me is now regretting it. To be fair they don't look that bad but definitely do not look right on an e46.

Sigh, E46 saloons with factory HID's are rare enough as it is without ruining one by doing that, arghghghg :(

Doesn't anyone just seek out a nice example and keep it nice anymore? Every E46 you see now has dubious mods, Ebay lights and either coilovers fitted or on the 'NEXT MOD' list :(

I can always take them off. I will after I get bored and get some new lenses.. Good news is the washer has been fixed with the temp solution until I find another.

It's difficult finding a unmolested one these days fox. That's because people like me ruin them. :(

Looks like I was wrong! I take it all back.

BMW have approved the work, so full replacement boot lid courtesy of BMW. Ideally wouldn't want to have to have any bodywork, but as it does, I'm glad its free.

So, car has gone into today for its replacement bootlid. Got a lovely Citroen DS3 1.4 diesel courtesy car.

Probed them a little about how the work would be done and turns out they wont be blending the bootlid into the wings. Not sure if this is due to the fact its being done on the corrosion warranty or not, but guess we'll see how it turns out.

The other interesting bit was that they stated the E92 M3 lip spoiler is no longer available from BMW (i.e not manufactured), so I guess we'll see if they can get mine off without damaging it.

What's wrong with coilovers? Obviously not ideal for road use, but if you track your E46 M3 then coilovers such as KW v3 or club sport will make a noticeable improvement.

My X5 has had a bad run of late an injector, an air shock and some knackered pipe work or something or other. Warranty came to the rescue though I guess.

90% of the E46's slammed on coilovers with fake angel eyes and Linglong tyres won't get any closer to a track than the Motorway that goes 5 miles past the entrance.

Also I'd be willing to bet that the vast majority aren't on anything like as good as KW v3s or other higher end coilovers.

OK I see your point when you put ling long tyres into the equation :D

Mines in today to see what's going on with the stop start. It rarely stops. Then when it does, it doesn't auto restart. Quite annoying!
