BMW and M Power Owners

at what mileage should i be looking at replacing springs and dampers? or how can i tell how worn they are?

my e92 is at 87k and i think they are still original.

Mines in today as well. Trying to get to get to the bottom of the wheel wobble and steering wheel play. I'm thinking steering rack for the play and brakes for the wobble

Can any E93 owners comment on remote opening options please? I'm able to open the roof by holding down the unlock button on the remote and can gain access to the trunk by pressing twice and then holding the boot unlock button but I am unable to remotely close the hardtop using the lock button on the fob, is this standard behaviour for UK models or should the function work?

Also is there a separate function to open and close windows and mirrors?

It's just a coding setting. My car also opened the roof from the fob but didn't close until I enabled it by coding it using a cable and software.

You can code whatever combination of things you want, I'd check ebay for sellers selling that service for £40 if you don't fancy buying the cable kit and doing it yourself. They will be able to code whatever functions you require.

Want to give a shout out to Stratstone BMW here...took mine in for the stop/start fault (which they fixed via new battery for £0) and in the mean time they noticed my centre console was a bit creaky, so dismantled, felt lined and reassembled it. Now completely silent. Woop.

Took the 330d for a service today £400 lighter, as soon as I drove off had a bulb warning error on dash..........

Also told I have a cracked rear alloy, a sticky window regulator and a jumping wiper blade, oh and apparently a engine oil leak somewhere although there has never been any oil left anywhere so I'm a little confused on that

You can have weeps that just go on the block or blow towards the back or onto the undertray. Leaks don't always mean something dripping onto the floor.

90% of the E46's slammed on coilovers with fake angel eyes and Linglong tyres won't get any closer to a track than the Motorway that goes 5 miles past the entrance.

This is why my E46 is totally stock. One of the rare examples around here!!

I need to do the cam cover gasket on mine (even though it's now stopped leaking apparently!) I'm thinking about my VANOS seals too, was it a difficult job? Did you need any specific tools?
I'm not a DIY mechanic by any stretch of the imagination but managed my cam position sensor (eventually!) would I be best to leave the VANOS to a garage or give it a crack?

All the information you need is here: http://www.beisansystems.com

Comprehensive isn't the word!

Is that stratstone silverlink? I used Lloyd myself but stratstone would be more convienient

Waterpump bearing went and threw both belts whilst I was joining the M4 yesterday. I only got it back from MOT work Tuesday, haha. Hopefully I've not done the gasket, didn't drive it for long - just to get it off the motorway.
Back to the CLS for a few days...

Driven them for many years, but never thought i would own a BMW...loving it so far though, fairly nippy, lots of space and comfy, exactly what i need at the moment!
