BMW and M Power Owners

I found quotes on the Z4 (including the M, and both roadster and coupe) to be cheaper than its direct competitors like the 350Z, S2000, Boxster S etc, but YMMV.

Just had my seized (145k) track rods replaced and a hunter alignment done (total cost of around £280) on my 328i. The steering feels much more solid and the general handling of the car is improved.

The next stage would really be to get the original dampers and springs replaced. The Sachs original parts would cost about £300, plus another £250 ish to be installed. I just don't know if its worth it when the car is worth around £1200.

What do you guys reckon? If it wasn't an auto and didn't have a small amount of rust on the rear arches I probably would go for it. Knowing my luck the autobox would break soon after the suspension was sorted.

Part of me thinks that interior is nicer than the one in the current 3 series. It just looks to be of higher quality.

I haven't had a hands on with the new 3 series interior I'm afraid, but the E46s interior certainly does feel solid and robust. The seats are just brilliant, especially compared to the old sports seats from the E30 (although thats no suprise!).

I'm definitely a fan of the new screen positioning in the recent 3 series though, in theory it looks to be exactly where you'd want it.

Any M135i owners, can you actually get adults in the back? or even large children?

You can get three normal sized adults in the back of a newer 1 series quite easily, but it's not particularly spacious and there's the big transmission tunnel in the middle of the floor.

Mainly be for kids(7 year old boy who is 11 year old sized) and a 5 year old girl. Have a Civic at the moment which is fairly roomy in the back, no need for a large car. Just wondered if its a reasonable size in the back for a small family car.

Should go try one......:)

Does anyone have bad experiences with any of the 3 series xDrive versions? Interested in going finance on a used one in a few months time, would be my first BMW!

I'm picking 4WD as a kinda of future proof and also I want it! :D

Has anyone ever specked Saddle Brown as an interior option?

Just asking as the guys at work keep saying I should have gone with Coral Red.

I chose not to, as 2 guys already have Coral Red and I wanted to be different.

The car colour is Metallic Estoril Blue.

Black is a non starter as I have had to many black interiors.

Stick with it!

Saddle Brown will look awesome with Estoril. That's the colour combo I want next. Currently have Graphite Grey/Coral Red.

Anyone in the south east fancy a guaranteed chav-tastic German meet on Saturday evening at Bluewater? Considering going, but I'll need to dust off the badaman dictionary so I can be "down wiv da kidz" when they complement my "sik man ride blud" and insist it "shud b bagged, will look well sik", or at least that's my assumption of the clientele looking at photos from the previous meet.

So many nice cars ruined in that link

I might be there with a friend anyway, might take a look if we have time. Not far from where I normally park as well.

That's where I pretty much always park, is always quiet there :D

What time were you thinking of heading down? Would be nice to have a conversation there with someone capable of forming complete sentences.
