BMW and M Power Owners

Not sure whether to post this here or a separate thread. I've been looking for a 320d/330d for a while now. I've found a E92 320D but just after some opinions from owners/previous owners. Whats the actual MPG like non motorway?

Also pricing, I can't find a 330d with what I want for under £10k, but going for a 320d I can.

E92 Coupe
M Sport
58 Plate
Le Mans Blue
Full BMW Service History
115k Miles
18" Wheels
Black Leather heated seats

I assume as this has got 18" they aren't sometimes problematic like the 19" wheels?
Also mileage is slightly off putting, but I know it's not huge for a 7 year old vehicle. It's advertised for £8495.

Hi guys,

Looking for some assistance, have just put my E92 335i up for sale and I would like to know if what I am asking for it is realistic. I have done some research and I feel ok with the asking price, but am happy to hear other opinions from BMW experts such as yourselves :-) (even if you tell me I am dreaming lol)!

I hate it when people put holiday snaps in car ads. I don't care about your wife/gf/daughter/son and I don't car about some lovely scenery in the south of France.
Why is she in there? Does she come with the car?

Show some good pictures of the car on your driveway and leave it at that.

Hadn't thought about it that way (thought they were good shots of the car itself), but point taken.

Wow, those tyres are mental. They have hardly any sidewall! What size are they?

Standard size for the 19's on E92's I believe its 35 depth rear and 30 front
(might be the other way around I can't remember). Those are non-runflats, but same dimensions as the factory run flats the car will have come with.

I'd stick an MOT on it as that alone will put people off

I'd also consider whether you can ask more for the car with it having the mileage required for the good value warranty. I would personally pay more for that.

I have mentioned MOT due 31/01/16 in the description - do you mean extend that? If yes, I wasn't aware you could do that so far in advance, I thought you had to renew the MOT a couple of weeks prior to the existing one expiring.

I also mentioned the mech warranty in the description, hoping that does increase the attaction of it. It does have a monthly cost, but its quite reasonable (imo) with the vehicle being under 60k miles as you said. Its the comprehensive Mondial one so it does provide plenty of peace of mind.

Extra low profile than that is the illusion, was the point of my post. They're the same profile as my tyres, which don't look that low profile given the larger dish behind the spokes and lip of my alloys.

You can mot the car at any time, only if you want to preserve the date would you do it near renewal

The car feels very fairly priced to me given the mileage and history, I would personally be asking for more. It's hard enough to find a decent 325 or 330i under 60k or that mind of money. Up to you and will obviously depend on how quickly you want rid but I would be increasing it.

They are lower profile than your tyres. The profile is a percentage of the width of the tyre, and the width of a 19 inch tyre on an E92 is narrower than the width of a 19" tyre on an E46 M3. Therefore despite both cars having a 30 profile tyre, the sidewall on the E92 is shorter.

Thanks, appreciate the feedback.

Hey, I have a BMW 525i E60 2004 but I've got an issue.

The engine light came on and something about a fault, the car is shaking a lot at idle and there seems to be a small petrol smell too. Parked it up for a bit, the engine light is gone for now but its still shaking and has a petrol smell still to it. Could something with the injectors or spark plugs be wrong?
Thanks

Shaking (from very vague description and not seeing it) sounds like it could be a misfire... this would register with the engine light and could easily come back and go.

Could be a few things:
- Coil pack
- Spark plug(s)
- HT lead(s)
- Injector(s)

You can get a bluetooth OBDII reader and that will connect to your phone and you can use an application to read out the fault codes... that'll give you a better idea of where the problem is.

The bluetooth OBDII reader will only cost you £10
