BMW and M Power Owners

She has arrived.
Before I get hit with “You should have got a 5 series of an 4 GC for price that you paid for the GT with all the options”

This was the vehicle that I wanted and this is the vehicle that I brought and i love it:D

The F30 is my old car.

This car drives like a dream. i did test drive a 5 series and a 4 Gc but this ride just stole it for me.
Awesome colour combo. I love poo brown!
Surprised you didn't get a 5 GT, unless it was too big.

-edit, never mind - saw your original thread. 5 GT would've been in budget if used, but then you wouldn't be able to get those colours!

What is the general consensus of the F33?

I ask because I still like a hard top convertible, in the ideal world I would get the E89, but practicality dictate that I might have to "settle" for a E93 instead but there is also the F33 now, although it's only 2-3 years old so still out of my price range but wondering what you guys think of the car over all, from built quality over the E93, engine and design.

I had an "engine fault reduced power" warning pop up on my E93 this morning after driving a few metres. I switched off and restarted and now is showing no faults and drives normally. Anomaly or loose sensor? Should I get it checked out and if I do will BMW be able to see the fault in the OBC history or do I need to wait until it repeats?

I got one that went away like you've described, the BMW assist man saw 3 errors logged but his computer didn't recognise the error codes. BMW gave me a 520D for 2 days whilst they replaced something to do with a computer linked to the throttle. This was 6 months into owning the car so under warranty.

do I keep it up or take it to one of Bristol many BMW specialists?

Redish would be the only place I'd take mine. So lucky to have such a good BMW specialist on your doorstep.

Could literally be anything. Best thing to do is to just wait and see if it happens again.

The BMW technician said best to see if it appears again as their diagnostic software won't allow them to run the necessary tests unless the OBC has logged the error at least twice. Fully warranted so I've got it booked in for Monday just in case it pops up again by then.

Sounds like a cop out to me, from my experience all faults are logged.

But if the techie is anything like me I'll do anything to get out of mundane work so I on the flip side I award his attitude :p

Agreed, mine only popped up then once and at their workshop they were able to read 3 different ones for the same fault.

Talking complete BS. No such thing as logging twice to run any test in ISTA, either that or my copy of ISTA is rather advanced :D
