BMW and M Power Owners

Unsure what "GC" is :)? The 335i is fair bit more expensive.

335d xDrive GT M Sport, business audio, adaptive suspensive, m sport+ pack, 2 year business lease, 8k miles, £290 a month.

I dont think it looks too bad, could live with it for a couple of years anyway.

Not sure I was in time to bag the deal anyway, they are processing the paperwork. :)

Gran Coupe - it's the version which looks like a normal 3 but has a hatchback.

£348 with VAT then on that deal...whats the initial rental?

So it was a pointless look at me post then.

If you want to keep something to yourself, actually keep it to yourself. Don't brag about it and then clam up when people ask you to share the knowledge.

Ah well, Petronas Syntium 3000 5w40 is LL01 approved and that can be had from ECP with "extra10" discount code for circa £3.90 a litre.

Boots as in tyres.

But... boots:

The driver side door seal on my e90 is ripped in a few places. it was frosty the other morning and the door was frozen shut.

any thoughts on what the cost would be to fix?

Yes, you're all correct!
Okay, so the M135i isnt the biggest departure from an e87, but its brand spanking new with all the toys i want, and I can't wait!

Replaced my RX8 with a new 330d MSport last week. Very much enjoying it. Lots of grunt and pretty fun to drive. More than doubled my fuel economy too. Had toyed with a Jag XE (nicer finish internally)but the beemer won out in the end. Better discounts to be had for one.

Did they drop the glove compartment usb connection on the most recent 330d? Or am I just being blind? Ideally I would run my music off a USB stick from there leaving the central console one for phone charging.

I've no idea if its been dropped but you couldn't use it for that anyway.

It's only used for:

a) Loading music onto the pointless hard drive
b) Updating navigation maps

You need to use the one in the glovebox to play music.

Ah ok. 50gigs of music wont fit on that I fear. Thankyou.

I use a SSD hard drive for my music and leave connected in the arm rest.

Until FOX pointed it out I never quite got what the USB in the glovebox did other than charge stuff.... I agree it would be nice if the SSD could be left in there (and worked) instead of the arm rest.

This discussion about USB ports reminded me to ask - does anyone know roughly what the warranty would cost on a 3 year old F31 318d? It's well under the 60k limit (something like 40k)

Reason it reminded me, is that he took it in for a service and asked them to update the maps. The update went so slowly that they left the shiny BMW usb stick in his glovebox and sent him on his way with nonfunctioning navigation. After 3 days it got to 6%...... they ended up having the car for more than a week, replacing the head unit twice and the control unit in the boot.... Something like 60 hours of labour and god knows how much in parts! Would have really stung if it was 6 months older and out of warranty - so I'm going to make sure he buys the warranty but would be handy to know what to expect if anyone knows (roughly) :)
