BMW and M Power Owners

Cancelled my warranty. Car is spending more time parked up in my garage than driving and frankly 82 quid a month is not really value

The 6 is just as big, actually it might even be a tad bigger.

Yeah, 6 series is a big car.

I know... but to me, it doesn't feel as big... I have a feeling it's a touch longer, but the handling is that little bit nicer and I just have a personal preference for it. Also the cocooning feel you get in it doesn't feel out of place, like it does in the 5 series. The cabin just feels mis-proportioned.

It's all personal preference... it was a nice car, no doubt, but for some reason the M5 didn't excite me all that much either... I have a feeling it might be different if it was an E60.

I'm most likely to get an M2 when my 320d goes.

Just got a call from BMW warranty as mine ran out last week, they want £28 a month for the top level of cover with a £250 excess. Seems worth it?

If you're happy with an excess see how much it is on £100 (obviously check zero too) as you'll probably find it isn't much more per month

It's an extra £120 for the year, and I don't plan on ever claiming, its just peace of mind, so not really worth it. If something does brake i'm assuming it'll be very expensive.

If that's the way you're looking at it maybe even go named compinent? The Biggie's are still covered

Seriously?! £350 a year for a BMW warranty on an M car?!

Edit: just checked to see how much it'd be for my the insured BMW warranty on mine. For Driveline cover with a £100 excess BMW want £4024.64 per year or £369 per month.

...I think I'll leave it.

Cheaper than mine on a non-M Z4 - mine is £33.06 per month with the £250 excess on the highest level of cover minus the extras like breakdown.

I wonder whats happened there, that has 'do it' written all over it.

I'd pick the £100 excess as IMHO its the best value. Also consider taking BMW Emergency Service - it's equivalent to the absolute top of the range AA cover including onward travel, hotel expenses, hire cars, etc and is only about 7 quid a month when taken with a warranty.
