BMW and M Power Owners

Doesn't in my diesel.

I assume VPower diesel is similar in concept to VPower petrol. Normal diesel with higher... Cetane..? And cleaning additives? Or just normal diesel with additives mixed in?

e; Just Googled, apparently it is partially made up of liquified gas rathern than entirely refined crude oil... And has additives!

This BMW driver must have been out of his mind here.

Maybe the lorry driver did something to him out of view of the Dash Cam but stuff me if that ain't a stupid move that he did.

Happens an awful lot to HGV drivers, car drivers get very narked when they have to slow for a vehicle thats limited to 55MPH, the radical option of passing in lane 3 (which HGV's can't use) is too much for their small minds.

Rather than passing and carrying on with their journey, they decide brake testing an articulated truck is the smart move.......

It supposedly helps keep things a bit....cleaner - that's all it claims to do, though I think a lot of people go on the unfounded belief it has a similar impact as octane rating

Whilst brake testing a lorry is up there with the most stupid things you could ever do, it is incredibly annoying when this happens. When you travel on dual carriageways you often get lorries taking a couple of miles to do an overtake leaving stacks of cars bumper to bumper behind.

Why wouldn't the lorry driver being overtaken lift off by one or two miles per hour to let the overtaking lorry go passed in a matter of seconds? It's not difficult.

Brother in law's 2004 E46 318i ES (calm your jealousy people) has been overheating lots recently. He's replaced water pump, thermostat and expansion tank (was cracked). First drive after, it's making white smoke and overheated after a few miles with a cold radiator.

Are the head gaskets on these known to fail, and is it an expensive job? Bearing in mind its a tatty highish mile car, not sure if it'll be worth him doing if its that. It's been a royal PITA since he got it, so getting rid wouldnt be the worst thing in the world

Cold rad might suggest he's left a lot of air in the system. BMWs are fickle beasts when bleeding, you should see the legit E60 service doc for bleeding the cooling system, it's a couple of pages long

Anyone got experience with LED sidelights especially with the Z4 E85 and its poor dim yellow bulb, Just after a brighter light and something that looks well with my xenons.

I have a spare set of LEDs that I used to convert the interior to LEDs and seem to be the correct fitment for the sidelights.

I didn't even know that this was a thing. A local scrote has kindly removed my M badges for me and provided free scratches to my car!

Are poverty spec BMW owners so desperate to appear to have good cars that they are buying second hand badges stolen off of true M car owners cars?

Anyone any idea how much this will cost to fix and where/how I do it?

You could find the part number (somewhere in vehicle trim) :

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/select

and ring your dealer parts dept for a price.
