BMW and M Power Owners

In 2012 I bought a high spec MY2009 330D LCI touring with 72k on the clock for £12650

In 2011 I bought a high spec MY2009 335i M Sport Coupe with 20k on the clock from a main dealer with a 2 year warranty for £20k. Late last year the same car sold for £15k with 80k on the clock.

Car values between 2009 and 2012 were very low and the market has been correcting ever since. You, and I go, got an exceptional deal the likes of which are unlikely to be seen again. You must realise this because you ended up losing under a grand on it over the space of 3 years!

Try finding a 3 year old 330d touring for £12650 today!

I put 50,000 more miles on the clock and traded it in for £11,800 last October.

Just saying, that seems a lot for a 325D

Even by your own admission, you got a ridiculously good deal on that so it's not really comparable.

Every time I connect my iPhone via USB, the iDrive doesn't allow me to connect my music via Bluetooth.

If I want to get it back onto Bluetooth I need to delete my phone from the system and start again, somewhat annoying.

Any ways to get around this, other than not using USB?

What a brilliant idea that site is, havent seen that before!

FA Wheels straight swap service is indeed excellent.

Agree. Yet to find out the longevity of the finish (although no reasons to doubt it), but the service, price and quality of the wheels is fantastic.

Excellent service provided by FA Wheels. Original OEM Caps and Msport badges also provided. The finish is excellent quality and original OEM finish as my original 194M wheels. Overall I am very pleased. Wheels also come with 1 year warranty. The straight swop service is indeed excellent

Has anybody here retrofitted BMW Apps (6NR) to their F10? Is it worth it, i want it mainly for spotify but would also use webradio. Although i can stream spotify over bluetooth already, i'd like to be able to see my playlists / albums on the screen. Is it a difficult job and can it be done by a specialist rather than a dealer?

Looks good, glad it all went well. Will definately consider these guys in the future!

Still a good return really though isn't it? I average about the same with circa 75bhp and two cylinders less

It is. I can't complain, it's doing better than my 330Ci was on the same commute, so 10 years of engine development added to 100bhp and STILL getting better economy can only be seen as fair.

Do you have a Civic at the moment?

I get around that in my heavier, less aerodynamic car with a late 90's N/A engine pushing more power. And I don't hold back! I'm of the opinion that fuel consumption in day to day driving of 300bhp cars has not changed much at all in the last 15 years.

In my 2002 and 2003 330ci - I got 27mpg. In my 2006 335i I got 27mpg. In my 2004 E46 M3, I get 26mpg. My 60 year old mother only gets around 30mpg from her N53 325i, as does a friend of mine with the same engine.

Fuel consumption and emissions is all a big swindle these days, as has been recently exposed.

Nah it's gone (though returned pretty much the same economy) family friendly Octavia vrs now

If you've been driving the M135 hard then that's not bad at all, if its been just day to day driving then I'd say its a bit underwhelming. Like Gaygle I'm getting 25-27mpg in the E46 M3 without much attention to fuel consumption at all, 30+ with a bit of effort if its a longer motorway journey.

She's not quite cracking 30mpg, the M135i;

Nothing to do with Sport mode, honest.

If you can resist the urge to plant that right foot and use the eco mode 35-38mpg is quite doable. Very impressive I think. Although my average for the last 24k miles has been 28mpg....

My commute is ~10 miles of fairly twisty A road @ 50mph average, and I'm not gunning it all of the time (I'd be breaking the speed limit if I was). It's in comfort for 90% of the time on my commute... So I'm thinking more than 30mpg should be doable. I have some spirited drives at the weekend but I'm not pushing the car too hard.

Someone has reversed into the front of my mates M3 (e92). Not left a mark so he let the guy off. Few minute after he realised his blowers wont work anymore.

Whats happened there then? Anyone know?

Checked fuses? Could just be a coincidence...Is the AUX Fan working at all?
