BMW and M Power Owners

BMW sell a variety of different mats - they tend to end production of the really nice ones earlier on and just end up selling the 'City' ones which are of lower quality once a car gets older.

This happened on the E39, too :(

So who do we think makes the best reasonably priced aftermarket tailored mats?

Anyone know?

have used carmats4u before and been happy, on a few different cars now, thick and hard wearing. That said I haven't seen what the extra £20 gets you with the auto style ones mentioned above.

Black rims and coilovers???

Run while you can, motors will hunt you down soon!

I think it suits it well

Just why? Why? I don't get it. Why buy an obviously nice example of an M Sport Z4 and then slowly begin to spoil it? There is simply no need to fit coilovers to that car - there is nothing wrong with the way it drives on the M Sport suspension :(

The wheels, well I guess thats personal choice though they'd look fairly good in silver but honestly how it drives now with those CSC6 non RFT's on will be as close to ideal as you can ever get in a Z4.

Yeah not my first choice of rims buy hey he's young...much to learn :D

You said he's 26, he's hardly 17 with his first Corsa is he :p

TOLD YOU! :D

More incoming!

To be honest I would leave it as it is suspension wise, specially with UK roads. Silver would have looked nicer imo. Where did he manage to get the wheels from if you don't mind me asking?

Ha! at some of these comments. Since when can you please everyone...

Not sure where he got the wheels, ADT. I'll report back when I find out.

Coilovers are definitley on the agenda muhahahaha :D

If anyone told me what to do with my car I'd tell them where to go. I am sure he will realise coilovers will make it stiff and bouncy but it'll look nice if not set too low.

If I was to sell my e46 coupé, who would actually want it, and would that make it worth more or less? It's a 3l petrol coupé manual.

What I mean is it seems Joe Public want small diesel automatics now so 1) does that apply my car as it is not new-ish or the sort of car that normal people buy and 2) who actually would want my car and would this mean my car is worth more as it is 'rarer' (and accept it will take longer to sell as it doesn't appeal to most people) as there are less 3l petrol manuals around?

I will never understand why people black out everything - black wheels, black paint, black trim, blacked out windows. From a styling point of view, it's not good, as there is just no contrast whatsoever.

Black is a rubbish colour anyway apart from that 5 minutes after you washed it when it looks great. It hides all the styling features of the car, it shows *every* defect and looks dark grey after 2 miles of driving it - the silver wheels and trim are normally the only thing which saves it :D

I think you will find that many people still look for manual 6 cylinder engined e46s. It took me 2 months to find one that is not tatty. I could have gotten a clean 318/325 in a week but I just held out as the 330 is what I wanted.

Anyways have you got pictures/details of the car? I'm actually helping a friend look for one at the minute.

It looks epic in the showroom but after your first drive the tyres have gone brown and provide a lovely contrast against the black wheels, the paint is covered in swirls and you can't see the intricate design of the alloys if you stand more than 3 feet away from the car as everything just blends into black darkness.

Unfortunately I don't have any actual plans to sell yet! Just feeling a change might be on the cards this year...

So it seems the normal people are buying the 2l diesels and the car enthusiasts are buying (and taking the time to look properly) the 6cyl petrol manuals?

Also has the value bottomed out on these yet? I paid £3,200 for my 2003 330ci msport 2 years ago in mechanically and interior-ly good condition and average paint condition. If I find a pic tonight I'll upload!
