BMW and M Power Owners

I like it, even in white it looks really smart. The different length tailpipes are kind of annoying me for some reason though...

Edit :- Or are they the same length ...? Can't really tell from the angle.

Just a couple of photos and wee summary after a week of ownership (copied from the show us your motors thread)

Fairly epic, it's just so much fun and I really cannot understand how it got such bad reviews, it's a rocket ship with a lovely refined interior and predictable & confidence inspiring handling. The gear box is really quite awesome.

negatives, boot space when the roof is down is comical, the lack of bluetooth audio streaming, no android USB support and a comically dire 'online services' suite which seems to cost a fortune and offer nothing. Oh and the 'professional' stereo; I'd hate to meet the amateur one coz it's blooming awful!

averages, fuel economy seems fairly poor, I'd heard good things but it seems on par with my old 3.0si. But I keep finding excuses to go and drive it so that sums up my overall feelings.

mods already done - LUX H8 160 Angel Eyes, BMW Genuine Sports aerial (stubby), bosch aero wipers, iphone 4 mounting kit (and an iphone 4s for music ), latest 2016 maps (and stupidly expensive activation cost) and fully comp bmw warranty/£100 excess and emergency car whatsit.

You must not have the combox fitted to yours because mine ,which was on the same reg could stream spotify via bluetooth and had no issues working with Android via USB to play music.

Yeah you are correct, it has pretty much everything else ticked, found a very decent workaround with a product called tune2air, which seems to do everything the combox does/did for £50 as opposed to £500 :p

Nice car but shame about the white.

It's the only bit I'm not keen on, but the options were this or Melbourne Metallic Red and with myself being of the ginger variety it would just be a clash  and of all reds around on cars, I really think it's one of the worst available.

They are different lengths :( although the angle does make them worse

Been an very interesting few weeks with the car, did a performance driving course at Millbrook and went to the Nurburgring.

The course was fantastic and really gave me a feel for how the car performs at high speeds and in limit handelling situations, the car performed flawlessly nice and flat on the high speed bowl doing 140 comfortably in the wet. Brakes were very strong we used the 1 mile straight to brake from 90 mph+ to practive threshold braking and ABS brake and avoid. Then we used the skidpan and inner handling circuit, the car really hides its weight well and gives you a lot of feedback through the wheel however if you do push it too much in MDM mode or with it off all together it does bite! Facilities at Millbrook are great and Aston Martin do some customer days there so we saw some nice cars driven the way they were designed to in a safe environment, there were also some buses being tested on the connecting roads so added an extra element when going between tracks. No pictures allowed in Millbook but got a lap recorded on the M Timer!

In Germany is where the car really comes into its own so comfortable on the Autobahn, I got the chance to take the car to its limiter and it did not feel strained at all. Visited the BMW museum and factory in Munich and saw some iconic cars in their 100 years of BMW exibit. They also had a great selection of M road and racing cars.

Then it was onto the legendary Nurburgring there we participated in a road tour around the track these roads were designed by the same person so were great to drive the car kept up with lighter cars on the tour and took everything in its stride. Unfortunately the weather turned as soon as the touristfaren started and they closed the track due to the extreme conditions so we only got a taxi lap around the actual track.

need some help!

car went in to BMW for the power steering pump to be replaced and now my radio is muted when the car starts and my passenger mirror no longer dips to help reversing.

i've scoured the settings and cannot find how to put ether of these back on. Car is E92 with iDrive.

For the passenger mirror to dip on reversing, the mirror selector needs to be on the driver's door mirror I think (or vice versa if I'm wrong).

For the mirror check the drivers side mirror select switch, I can't remember which side but leaving it to one side makes it not dip and moving it to the other mirror does make it dip.

BMW fans.

Does the snap in iPhone holder fit all current models or does it require certain options to be fitted?

Car in question is my dad's 2015 pre lci f31 320d m sport touring.

I don't have access to the car to see if it has the relevant port until the weekend and I think he would like it for fathers day.

P.s. I realise it doesn't add a great deal in functionality but it's a neat installation and he doesn't have a cradle at the moment.

Thanks
