It was late 08, so there may be a few 58 plates but most will probably be 09 onwards.

The LCI has different lights front and rear, slightly different bumpers, cars with Pro Nav only have 1 cd/dvd slot (since Nav is HDD based instead of Dvd) and the N57 330D engine has 245ps instead of 231ps with the M57.

September 2008 onwards so actually the majority of 58 plate cars will be LCI models.

Didn't the climate control panel change slightly too, with the heated seats controls moving to there rather than the bottom of the dash.

Also new idrive controller.

I'm sure there's loads more :p

The M Sport generally? No. Mine specifically? Yes - it has quite a few more bits the other one didn't have, some because it's newer and there were changes to the specification as time went on and others specified as optional extras.
 
Well sad times, car got delayed again. In my frustration I got in touch with BMW customer services who advised me there is a shortage of petrol 4 pots and 6 pots in the UK market, apparently resulting in a 10-12 week supply delay.

So who only knows when the car will arrive! However they said that they don't envisage delays to customers as 'more than a few weeks... :/

This dealer seems to have a large number of low mileage single owner E39s... odd.

In other news I took my DISA valve off my 530i today and :eek:. Completely screwed, broken and close to complete catastrophic failure, luckily I have already ordered a repair kit just waiting for it to arrive. Unluckily it means I am car-less until it arrives...
 
I'd be worried about the state of the various engine components and tubings as having been driven only 2.5K miles in 14 years, the pipes, tubes, various bits of rubber must be starting to break from no lubrication; unless it was stored in a temp & humidity controlled environment.
