BMW and M Power Owners

Impressive! What kind of horsepower is it now?

Does it cost a lot of money to take them to this kind of power and are they reliable, how is lag on them on the stage 2 as assuming its a bigger turbo and therefor takes longer to spool up?

Hi mate,

The turbo is being fitted right now (today) so I'll be able to give some impressions on the turbo in the next few days. Power wise I'll be around 480 - 500bhp until I buy the Fuel It port injection system and uprated fuel pump. When I have those I'll be able to run an ethanol blend for around 550+ bhp.

Reliability wise I've not heard of any problems from the guys running this set up. Videos to follow!

That's absolutely shocking.

Bad enough that's it's the pre LCI but that silver trim is the bail in the coffin.

The silver trim's nothing, not only do they have to select their own gears, they can't even do it in a comfortable environment of 21 degrees without climate control!

What asking price should i be looking for if i was to sell my 530d?

Its 08, 74,000 miles full service history automatic SE in grey with full black leather interior

Just thinking of changing at the mo!

I'm upset that I can't decide between an m3 or a 640d when they're at completely opposite ends of the car scale!

Why not pick and own the NA V8 over the 3.0 diesel and enjoy a nice dose of induction noise? There'll be a plentiful supply of 3.0 diesels entering this world over the next 10 years. No NA V8s though.

I'd go for the v8 myself, but then I love the sound of my 550i, especially when pushing the start button on a cold morning....vrooooooooom burble burble burble :)

You see that's precisely the argument in my head. I'm looking at the fact that they're generally appreciating too. However...the 6 is a lovely place to be.

If I didn't have the two kids, I would be all over a 650 right now, really would. Petrol in NZ is actually quite cheap (£0.65 per litre ish) and servicing my 550i costs around £200 so the v8 actually isn't a problem here...

I wanted to own a v8 before emissions standards fully adapt here and I love it!

And that is the counter argument. The interior in the e92 is just so dated! However that noise, performance and handling! Argh!

Saying that I'm probably gonna end up with a 6. For one main reason. Pretty much every m3 available now up to nearly 30k is...white. And I bloody hate white cars.
