BMW and M Power Owners

Well at £43k it's a good deal as that spec (assuming that's all there is) is £46.3k, but I'm a little surprised you're being offered such a deal on it at all. As you've pointed out there is a long waiting time on these and any stock cars are getting snapped up quickly. It's not even end of month or end of quarter. There aren't even any AUC M2s yet (not surprising though).

Are you saying you don't get offered cars you don't like out of the blue at knock-down prices?! You haven't lived :D

Have any of you with nav and auto tested out the Proactive Drive system before (by taking corners quickly to see how it responds etc)? Sounds interesting.

Do you mean 'Connected Shift' where it uses navigation mapping data to ensure the transmission is in the right gear for bends, hills etc?

You don't really notice it, which I guess is the point.

It's not something you can easily test to be honest as it just works quietly behind the scenes.

I have noticed that in Sport/Sport+ mode the car seems a lot more likely to change gear prior to a corner than in Comfort mode though, but normally if I'm driving in Sport mode I'm also using the paddles.

Yes, though I haven't seen it called that before!

you are right, I just checked my messages and list is 46k and he wants 46k back for it.

I don't know why he wants out of his order, I will ask in the morning but I assume his dealer will just buy it back form him if he does not want it.

I'm sure the dealer will, but he'll lose his deposit, which is probably why he wants to sell the order.

Something i'm going to need to consider soon is selling my car. I've never sold a car privately before so it's all new to me. When would be the best time to sell it? I move abroad next October.

I can't deny that the savings on the monthly payments wouldn't be useful (but not essential), but on the flip side, i don't want to drive a shed for a year :D 1st world problems eh!

Judging by what's available now, i think it's worth in the region of £20k (13 525d pro nav / 8 speed auto 32k miles / service pack till 2018) - which, should i receive that, would clear the finance outstanding. Also, i have another years warranty with it, is that transferrable?

I'm just going off what's available on AT. The cheapest '13' 525D is a blue one at £19,400

That one looks identical to mine, again, minus the service pack and warranty.

I'd think £19k should be achievable privately.

I've just requested a settlement figure for now and one for in July, to see whether it's worth holding on to as i really don't want to sell it yet lol

You are at a considerable disadvantage as a private seller. Especially as you cannot offer finance so your market is cash buyers of which there are very few.

It needs to be several thousand quid under main dealer prices to get any interest. You can buy LCI cars from main dealers for around 20k, the fact yours is a 525d makes it a bit easier to sell but its still fundamentally a slightly quicker 520d so isn't worth thousands more than one.

There are very few 525s around anyway so being the cheapest doesn't necessarily mean the price is right.

New 66 Plate 640D M Sport with MSport Plus pack and then a couple of parking packs - £50k. Thoughts?

Is that a GC or normal 6?

I have looked at the GC's and 30 to #35k will get you a 2014 car which I think at that price will hold its value very well.

Re spec M-Sport+ pack give you a lot of the important extras but I would also want surround view and pan roof also. Comfort seats and comfort access would be nice bonus.

Normal coupe. It also has surround view and pano roof but no comfort seats.
