Borderlands

Anyone getting annoyed with vehicles? I might be missing something stupid but when you enter a vehicle it asks if you want to go in the driver seat or turret, I have to get out then go back in again for the engine to start?
The cursor should indicate whether you're getting into the driver or gunner seat - just point at the seat you want. Once you're in, you can change by hitting the button indicated in the popup the first timey ou enter the vehicle - I've changed mine, but there' s no need to get out and then back in again.

If you host your own game, generally you get people joining in the correct level range. I agree though, coop is in need of a few user friendly patches :).

Is there also a fundamental problem that if you have four of you, the moment any of you play it single player, or away from the rest of the group, then your levels starting getting further apart, so playing togethor gets daft?

Yes, that is a problem which is why I have found it so difficult to team with people from here because we are all at different levels. The fun of coop makes it all worthwhile though. The battles are just so much more epic!

SO what are people finding as regards trying to play with friends, when invariably their levels will differ, possibly quite a lot, especially as regards your mate without any kids who is putting in 4+ hour a day into it... :)

Same used to happen when playing WoW.

I didn't play as frequently as my guildmates, so they'd all be miles ahead of me, I'd often end up teaming up with their 2nd or 3rd toons, lol!

Maybe the solution is to have a character put aside you only use togethor? But I guess the issue here is some/all of you would be playing through levels again at a level lower than your other character(s)... Not sure how frustrating this would be!?

Just a few levels seems to make a massive difference though - a baddy 2 levels ahead of you is *really* tough. 1 level is challenging but do-able, same level is a cakewalk.

Which makes co-op with various levels even more difficult to work with...

So really, if a group of you are going to play togethor regularly, have characters that you ONLY play togethor with?

From what I've read on the gearbox forums whoever hosts the games it shows their quests.

So if you have friends who are steaming ahead and doing quests then you would have to host the games in order to complete your quests.

Bit of a pain really I had my connection drop last night so when I rejoined the other guys in co-op they had all handed their quests in.

I had to host my own game finish the quests and then rejoin their game.

At least you guys can get into a game. Most games I try to get into just timeout. When I did finally manage to get a game with the quests I was on it had a level 50 running around doing them for his buddies. I'd like to be able to see who is in the game before I join, but I'd settle for just joining a game at the moment. Unfortunately hosting is out of the question until my ISP opens some ports for me :(
