Borderlands

This game is totally different with a proper coop game, be3en playign with squark, midnight and pookie from the start with one of each characters and it's ****ing awesome.

We've been oni t for hours and have progressed much slower than in sp/2 player coop, but been much, much more fun.

Tefal/Squark, if you guys have a space free I'd be up for starting a new character - will be free after the footy around 5 ish. Don't really mind who I am as I intend to play them all at some point.

sorry mate it was pookies idea to begin with so he was the 4th :p

No worries bud :) From the glimpses I've had I'm sure its a lot more fun co-op, its just a shame its so hard to get a decent game with everyone around the same level.

Great game today, I especially liked when I was being 'driven' along.
Good laugh but boy is it tough with 4 people, that Crystal cave was hard

I still haven't been able to get into a game where the lag was low enough to consider it playable, I play with the sniper rifle mostly and my shots just aren't registering online. Good job the single player mode is great but that's not what I bought it for :( They need to throw some dedicated servers at this thing.

loving this game !

once you complete the story are you still able to play and is there anything to do with mobs the same level as you if you are trying to get higher?

Hm OK so after having the game for a few days would you guys still recommend it? And if so, would you recommend it for the single player or co-op element?

GAME mucked up my pre-order and sent me the wrong game so I'm wondering if I should cancel the order and save the pennies for L4D2.

Well I am really enjoying the single-player game. So far, it's the game of the year for me. Co-op has been hit and miss. I've played with folks who charged ahead and nicked all the loot so that wasn't fun.

single player is good
co-op is fantastic with good mates

I'm concerned how the two will live togethor.

Assuming you will play single player more than co-op, it means all of you (you & your mates) will be re-treading ground you've all done before (in single player).

I wonder if it will suffer because of that.

In an ideal world of course you'd all (you & your mates) would only play it togethor... and not in single player... But that's not likely to happen :)

So you go back and have the chance at some more loot if you are lucky I suppose :). It is a game in the same vein as Diablo 2, you do the same stuff pretty much ad infinitum, but doing that is fun! (although Diabo did randomise the dungeons).

I like both Coop and SP - I feel more powerful in SP, while in Coop I occasionally felt like I wasn't making much of a difference (perhaps that was due to my class and weaponry) - I also think it takes longer to get really good upgrades - you're sharing ammo crates with three other people!

Despite having played the full version of this and only a demo of L4D2, I think I'll probably end up spending more time and getting more value out of L4D2. But that's three weeks away - which is why I'm playing Borderlands now. Your mileage may vary - so I'd just suggest you go with what your gut tells you.
