I just checked my log and if the Wikia is right, Not Without My Claptrap is main mission and it not showing anything that says so. Unless my game got a bug ?
Yeah. that's why I tried to do all quests that shows on the boards, but then again the link @Psymonkee gave me the chap says the goal is to be done with PT 1 around 32-35. I guess if I try not doing things like the arena and mostly killing things with the car then I might not be to over levelled once I do the final part ??
Or should I just plow through it and see where I end up, even if the weapons I have presently probably be crap once I do PT2 though !
Ahh right. Well, that is what I been doing so far so I guess I just continue and see what happens when I have time to play next time around ! Unfortunately work is in the way so don't look until the weekend.
On another note since I am curious. With shotgun's, I always keep one that has good Accuracy (presently has one that is at 72.9) and have sold those that does higher damage but has like 10-20 Accuracy since to me that seems like it spread the shoots to thin to actually down the opponents ?? Or it don't matter once again with BL ??

depends on your tactic, for example my current strategy with this gaige build using anarchy (perk where every kill/empty mag reload gives a damage boost but loses accuracy) has been to use shotguns with an open and direct run right up to them and shoot em straight in the face approach.
if done right so far i'm basically one-shotting anything thats not a badass.
Finished my first playthrough now. Ended up at level 36 with 6 legendary guns.
It's the first time I've played BL1 since playing BL2 and there are so many nice little changes that you miss. Not being able to crawl whilst in Fight For Your Life is a huge pain in the arse. And the rocket launchers seem completely useless at getting you the Second Wind!
Thanks @adolf hamster guess I have to try one out and see what/if there is a difference between them. And yes, those badasses are bad.. remember one I one shooted though, was one of those with glowing eyes, and was lucky with a rifle shoot to the head and he went down. Looking forward to tomorrow evening when I can fire it up and do Old Haven and progress the quest.
@ic1male You going to do a second PL as well ? And would you mind posting your skill tree and what guns you find ?? Just being curious as to what you found.
Gaige update:
turning out to be pretty badass, although the anarchy is a double edged sword, if you combine it with a fixed spread gun like atm i'm using the octo shotgun you get from hammerlock the damage is insane, basically one shotting anything you hit, knocking down bosses in a few shots and general badassery.
however, lose it and its a hard time re-gaining it, currently filling out the freinds forever tree, have the perk that keeps deathtrap alive longer for every kill- great for easing the load of massive crowd killing, wanna get the shared shields before going down the anarchy route and seeing what cool stuff resides there.
going to be interesting to see how this holds up against more end game bosses, although i think having deathtrap to tank/mop up ads/help res you is going to be a massive boost.
So, was bit cheeky and jumped to Moxxi's Underdome to have a looksi, and use the bank slots there. Not much of interest part from several red weapon boxes behind the banker but don't seem those can be accessed. So I thought, lets have a look at the General Knoxx place too, just see if maybe something can be found.
Went there and browsed around, found some lockers and those big green bins.. and one white and one red weapon chest. Great I thought, lets see what else we can found at the other end, so walked up the hill, saw you could walk over a open area instead of around so turned that way. Notice a flash of some sort, so got curious and walked closer... then wtf I was dead in an instance !
Bit baffled I approached bit more carefully and to the side of the open area (Was curious as to what killed me but still have no clue. ). Then heard a message saying target been acquired so I turned and high lighted out of there.. just to run into two ninja type assassins, lvl 35 as well. Almost killed one but died. Problem was, closest respawn was behind them so had to fight them again but this time manage to win. Neither of them dropped anything though !
Now, I been back a couple times after that, had to see if I got attacked anywhere else if I did not walk up that hill and so far all good. Seems to be lvl 35+ thought for the Knoxx DLC on PT 1 (Guessing though) in anycase, I did find a couple of gem's there.
This one I can use right of the bat, and the shield is about 200 points better then the one I had and recharges twice as fast. Probally better ones out there but I like the regenerating of health. And I found it in a locker.
This one I can't use yet, but seems to be the big brother to the sniper rifle I already having. At least both is saying "Pele demands a sacrifice!" .. so well chuffed with that one.
Also found this Legendary shotgun, although might find something better before I can use it but it is in the bank for now.
good find on the second volcano- it's the same general idea as your current one just a higher level. worth saving if you use snipers.
you did exactly what i did (albeit on the second playthrough) and jumped into the dlc before finishing up the main questline
probably not a spoiler, but if you can't fight those assasins you've no hope of proceeding in that dlc, best to level up a bit until it's a fairer fight.
i think bl2 changed the mechanics, so that instead of set-level regions/dlc's, the level of an area is set by what you are when you first arrive there. except in the 3rd playthrough where i think it just auto-levels everywhere.

I did start a 2nd playthrough and now on level 46 so the Sniper column is also filled. I've got a bit bored last night so contemplating starting again with Lilith.
As for the weapons, I had two Maliwan Hellfires which are SMGs with a high ignite chance, A Volcano sniper which leaves a ball in flame in place damaging enemies, an Equalizer revolver with recharging ammo, a Guardian combat rifle with recharging ammo and a repeater pistol which I never used and can't remember anything about it.
Yes with the Carrion Call skill maxed out, my Bloodwing is ready to go again as soon as he comes back. Although that tactic doesn't work that well when you're left with a single Badmutha baddie chasing after you.

sounds exactly like my maya build in bl2 lol, big group of enemies was much easier than a lone enemy, as you could just bounce splash damage around the whole group
i'm hoping my gaige build is going to be better against lone enemies, with a full stack of anarchy it's insane how quickly anything goes down.
I could never get to grips with that anarchy. After a lifetime of playing FPS where it's crucial to keep your magazines full and reload continuously, I was always doing it accidentally with Gaige when I didn't want to. Or else missing picking things up off the ground and accidentally triggering a reload.

Thanks ! I need to find some better SMG's.. Still using The Spy one, would love to find a Hellfire soonish.. Looks like an interestng build, I went down the Sniper path first, now gonna max out on the crit then do the 3 birdy skills on the right so they work with my Class Mod.
Going to breach Old Haven now and see how far I continue today with it. And what fun I can end up with in there.
