Borderlands

Looks like an interestng build, I went down the Sniper path first, now gonna max out on the crit then do the 3 birdy skills on the right so they work with my Class Mod. :p

Yeah, maybe that's why I'm getting a bit bored. I don't really like sniping that much. My main tactic so far has been to let Bloodwing fly off and then I mop up what he's left behind so I don't really need to go for critical headshots. I think I'm going to reconfigure and put points into the gunslinger track and see whether using the revolvers will be more fun.

Small hint: Corrosive weapons are helpful! :p
Sniper rifle was quiet useful as well, but yes, I did use my AR24 Glorious Massacre machine gun too, has x2 for Corrosive and 61 bullets in the mag so was quiet useful as well. :D

The times I used the revolver or pistol it been ok, for me. Then again, close combat not really my thing but sometimes one has no choice. But if you have a good revolver I am sure you be fine.

I got a purple revolver which does more damage than my sniper according to the cards and an orange revolver for replenshing ammo. I should be set. :p

I found whilst fighting the end boss on playthrough 1 that I ran out of sniper ammo anyway so had to switch to a load of other weapons.

well, did some perk reshuffling, and my god anarchy is hilarious when done right, by rough calculation i'm putting out nearly 300k damage per shot on a common jacobs shotgun with each pellet doing 22k and this is at lv29!

i'm thinking i really need to be using fixed spread weapons though, as it's 300k damage going freakin everywhere and not hitting much although up close there isn't anything that survives a point blank hit

also, am i the only one that thinks being able to use the target range to gain stacks is a bit cheaty?

Sweet ! I got to find a better one.. well, I have but the one I have does x3 Fire damage as well so keeping it for now even if the damage is "only" 127.. got a Class Mod that replenishing my ammo for revolver and repeater pistols for now, although means I carrying around on two class mods. :o

Have Salt Plains to do, find the last piece and then see how much after that. And then replay it all before doing the DLC's (Even if I going partly to loot the first area of General Knoxx. :o )

good find on the second volcano- it's the same general idea as your current one just a higher level. worth saving if you use snipers.

you did exactly what i did (albeit on the second playthrough) and jumped into the dlc before finishing up the main questline :D

probably not a spoiler, but if you can't fight those assasins you've no hope of proceeding in that dlc, best to level up a bit until it's a fairer fight.

i think bl2 changed the mechanics, so that instead of set-level regions/dlc's, the level of an area is set by what you are when you first arrive there. except in the 3rd playthrough where i think it just auto-levels everywhere.

Yeah, was well chuffed to see that second Volcano, looking forward to using it soonish. :D

Yeah not going to do the Knoxx DLC until after second PT, I am just going to the very first area and picking up some cash, a bunch of lockers and 1 red and white weapon chest to see if I'm lucky, as with the Volcano rifle. :o :p

Nope! If you lose your stacks I don't mind rebuilding them in the range! Also go grab the fibber (alt f4 farm it for your desired element and get the one with barrel #2 on it.....i think it's that anyway....)

barrel 2 is the multi projectile one isnt it? if so then guess who lucked out on it! it's insane at 400 stacks as it's an explosive type so it literally fills the air with glowing death

atm im sticking with this jacobs shotgun as i keep dying right before maximum stacks, but it's a 2 shot mag and 2 ammo per shot which with quick reloads means i get up the anarchy ranks pretty sharpish.

the sadist in me wants to see what the flakker is like with this much inaccuracy, somehow i suspect it'd be hilarious if useless.

Just done the Salt Plains and was a bit.. funny.. .. Had a couple fights, then 2 stronger bandits come up.. killed one and was engaged with the second, jumped up on a roof to get bit better coverage and the main boss joined the fight. Only shoot at him once, took cover from whatever he was shooting with since it was lots of explosions. Then suddenly the quest says it was completed and main boss was killed.. I was like.. uhmm what ??

Was still other bandits around as I was walking up to where the boss were sitting so not sure what happened with the main boss. Although an easy boss fight is always welcome I guess. :p

Yeah not complaining really, was just.. surprised to have the quest be completed so suddenly.. ahh well, my fortune the chap can't walk carefully ! :p

I think this wouldn't be a problem if we had some good old fashioned British Health and Safety red tape liberally applied! :p
Ohh no, I prefer easy over your British Health and Safety red tape any day of the week ! :p

In other news, went into The Backdoor yesterday and in 2 of the 3 red chests I found before the boss fight I found these two, which got me wondering what kind of fight I was going to end up in.

And from the Boos fight itself I got a third one from the McCloud chap. Which is rather slow firing. I do like the Mercurial Blaster though, bit like a SMG feel. :p

The Crimson Fastness place was less fun though, expecially at the end with 3 Badasses in the way but got to admit the corrosive machine-gun come in handy there. Just feels a bit silly emptying a mag (61 bullets) and they still standing although life vanishing quickly from the poisoning. :D

Yeah I used a couple of those as well, but since having no clue what expecting after the badasses I didn't throw them all. :p

smart tactic, although i tend not to be so conservative :D

did you invest in the trespass perk in the skill tree? you should be around the stage where it comes in really handy

Yes I did invest skills to get tresspass.

Having maxed out on the Crit now in Gunslinger I am going to continue filling the right side of the Rouge path, so I get Swipe - Out of Blood and Ransack, which goes well with my class mod.

Also for the next stage I can finally use these (and yes, forgot to pick up the sniper rifle when I hit lvl 32. :o ) And also have a x3 Corrosive sniper rifle. Not sure if I need it now though, since the Volcano does more base damage and has x4 Fire effect. I used the Corrosive in conjunction with my other Volcano before since they both did similar base damage. And the machine gun is a fall back if the corrosive machine gun is not working to well, since the normal one does twice the damage as the corresive one. :D

I went and reconfigured my skills with a new class mod which gives Bloodwing the ability to attack 9 targets . With the cool down now at only 2 seconds, he does all the fighting for me. :D What an easy life!
