Borderlands

Yes I did invest skills to get tresspass.

Having maxed out on the Crit now in Gunslinger I am going to continue filling the right side of the Rouge path, so I get Swipe - Out of Blood and Ransack, which goes well with my class mod.

Also for the next stage I can finally use these (and yes, forgot to pick up the sniper rifle when I hit lvl 32. :o ) And also have a x3 Corrosive sniper rifle. Not sure if I need it now though, since the Volcano does more base damage and has x4 Fire effect. I used the Corrosive in conjunction with my other Volcano before since they both did similar base damage. And the machine gun is a fall back if the corrosive machine gun is not working to well, since the normal one does twice the damage as the corresive one. :D

good going, you'll have a fun time on the prelude to the final mission with trespass, those buggers with lots of shields, next to no health and xp galore!

the whole fire/corrosion/electrical damage thing wasnt so clearly implemented in bl1, it's done much better in bl2 where you really need to keep a mix of different damage types going.

Made some ini tweaks (skip intro movies, change FoV) and it looks like I'm playing Borderlands 1 again :p
I was thinking doing that as well but I letting it run so the Borderless Gaming app can run and sort itself out before the game starting. Only way it seems that I can play 3440x1440 due to me having 3 screens in total.

And finally done with the first play through. Last fight was a bit tedious though.. not much cover for the tentacles projectiles since when it had 4 arms out I wasn't quick enough to shoot them all of, even if moving those lighting bolts got me.. died 3 times.. but atleast once it was dead it somehow spitted out all the ammo I used on it ! :p

Now when I start the game next time, is there an option to do another PT then ?? Although, have one quest left, which is the arena like thing one: Circle of Slaughter.. otherwise all is cleaned off.

Yeah when you go to the main menu hit select character and it'll ask you what you want to do! :)

PT2 will reset the story but now with bigger, badder enemies :D

That sounds.... interesting... :p .. Hopefully I find a couple better weapons soonish once I start it then.. Rifle and Shotgun is ok, but the SMG and Machine Gun is not up for the task.. :p

i see you didn't find "the spot" then, as long as you keep the tenticles in check you'll be safe.

What is "the spot" ?? You mean to say there is a certain place where you all protected from the projectiles as well ?? I just tried to hide behind the pillars but still got hit, first time I died was because I thought I be protected if out of sieght but that wasn't the case. :p
Did you get anything nice drop from The Destroyer? I think the highest thing I got was a blue grenade. :(
A bunch with weapons, one Class Mod and an artifact for the birdy. And about 400 ammo for the Machine Gun...

Edit: Ended up level 36 and with these skills taken:

there's nowhere really protects you from the missiles, but the left side of the left pillar protects you from everything else including the laser eye whilst allowing you to still get crit's, you do need to move quickly to keep the arms down every time they spawn though.

Ahh right. And then no, did not find that spot. I did try to be quick when the arms spawned, but even if it showed I aimed at the glowing part of the arm, sometimes had to shoot it twice before it exploded. :(

On another note. When I start PL2, will whatever I have stored in the bank still be accessible ?? Just curious to know, incase I have to go there and pick things up before starting PL2. I do guess the skill points still will all be there ? Or has that reset ?

they have their own (invisible) health bars, so a couple of shots is to be expected depending on the weapon.

not to sure on the back, i'd say so, you'll keep all your levels, inventory, perks etc for sure.

you can still load your playthrough 1 file after starting playthrough 2

Was my lvl 32 Cobalt Volcano I used on the glowing part of the arms. But yeah, guessing it wasn't a 100% accurate shoot and hence having to shoot twice. Sure hope I have a good rifle once I meet it again in PL 2 ! :p

Thanks for the info about skill points and all the rest as well guys ! :D

yeah, possible down to the level of sniper skill you have, when i did my mordecai playthrough i used snipers almost exclusively and had a ridiculous sniper skill level, so oneshot the arms.

It levelled up either during the fight or just before to level 13. Not sure how far the skill level can be on weapons ?? What was your sniper skill level at the end ?

Can't decided if I should wait with the DLC's or not though. Although, if I leave them it be something new to do and not having to replay them again, so might actually just leave them. Probably just be finishing the Circle of Slaughter to have all quests completed in the game.

can't remember the actual number, afaik there isn't a limit on weapon skills, just overall level. but i basically only switched off sniping when i ran out of ammo, or when the specifics of a boss fight demanded something else.

gaige update:
ok, so just finished the end of the first campaign with gaige, and man that fight with the warrior was a walk in the park, jack went down like nothing, and it only took a couple of shots to get the warrior to dive back into the lava, meanwhile deathtrap is endlessly killing rakk in the chamber and handing out xp like it was candy. all in all took maybe 16-20 hits to take out the warrior which is insane compared to any previous attempt i've made.

then went on to complete the badass crater, again insane with the bosses taking sub 10 shots to annihilate (apart from the blimp, mega damage and mega poor accuracy sucks at range). moving on to captain scarlets treasure and saving tiny tina's dlc for after

non spoiler version: gaige is kicking ass, 300+stacks of anarchy+torgue shotgun+close enough skill=basically everything dies in 1 hit

Sounds interesting, would you mind taking a screen shoot of the skill tree ?? Not played BL2 yet, only seen a play through on Twitch and is the reason why I am playing BL1 right now, before moving to 2 later on. I take it Gaige is a close combat character, or can be either depending on how you do the skill trees ?
