I do use them, have one that don't do much damage per see but also does x2 corrosive damage and seems work well against the spider thingies. Plus it is good for crowd control since the SMG I found so far does x2 per trigger squeeze, so using up ammo pretty fast using that one. Hopefully finding a better one once I start PL 2 this weekend. Well, hoping to find something a bit better of all things.. :p

yeah, you'll find that depending on how you play your character some weapons will be much better suited to you than others.

for examply my siren build in bl2 was exclusively smg's and pistols, now my gaige build has naturally developed into pretty much exclusively shotguns, and weapons my siren build would have thrived on don't work so well for gaige.
 
Gaige Update:

so just finished tiny tina's dlc, the final boss died with basically no effort wheras with maya he took quite the battle to kill, whole battle was over in sub 2min with 400 stacks going.

the first phase of the boss died in 4 hits, 2 of which were killing his clone ads, subsequent versions all died before being able to spawn significant amounts of ads who were normally the problem when playing as maya

finally found another shotgun to replace what i'd been running, another torque shotgun but no bayonet. damage is still insane.

either way, for any enemy that you can engage up close it seems that gaige with maximum anarchy is a force to be reckoned with.

just mr hammerlocks wild hunt dlc, and the various head hunter downloads to play through now before transitioning to playthrough 2, i'll admit when i started this i wasn't planning on doing a second playthrough but now i think i will just to see how gaige handles the seraph guardian bosses.

after that i think a playthrough of the pre sequel is called for!
 
well, forgot i had hammerlocks game hunt, so still that to speedrun through before going for a second playthrough.

took a break today to try subnautica, but i guess it's testament to how well borderlands is made that i forgot my laptop was basically a potato and shouldn't be running games :D
 
Ok, that was.. interesting.. Play through 2 sure is tougher then the first one was, and they loaded in loads of skag badasses kind of thing.. acid, shock and another kind.. was rather... hectic at times.. :eek: :p
Think I got 2 leveles just doing the Skag Gully quests and shooting wildly around me if wasn't lucky and could pick the skags off bit further away.. :o :p

What res you playing in btw? The stream was a funny colour and a quick google suggests it's a known bug but little in the way of fixes!

Playing at 3440 x 1440. And no funny colours on my side so not sure what kind of bug you talking about ?? :confused:
 
it's to do with Steams built in streaming. I'll grab a screenshot next time but on my end I had a mostly grey screen with odd flashes of colour. Something to do with streaming in a non 16:9 ratio.

I still got to see skags burn so I'm all good here :P

They should really update those Video Dimensions they have. Not that it will make much difference but I changed it from 1280x720 (720p) to 1920x1080 (1080p).

Glad you got to see the skags burn at least, most of them did part from when they swarmed me and I went gun hoo happy with the machine gun or SMG and shooting all over the place ! :o :p
 
Just did a short run to finish of one quest and see if I had some luck with a certain red chest, but alas did not have any luck with the chest but to my surprise found a rather decent revolver in a skag pile instead.

A lvl 34 Legendary Revolver ! Those darn skags eat just about everything, don't they ! :p

Thanks. Liking it the little I used it so far, unless I find a equally good firey one I be keeping this as my main revolver. Have both a ammo regenerating revolver and class mod so be fine with ammo though. I know I could use the class mod all the time but I can't stop using the +3 Team Scavenge Extra Item class mod most of the time, since it does seem to pay divience in the long run. :D :p

It's not the resolution you stream in but what you play in that apparently causes this. I wouldn't worry about it! :)
 
Yikes, yeah I can see the picture is awful. Hope steam can sort it out so if anyone watching can actually do so without getting nauseous. :(

On another note, finaly found myself a Hellfire SMG ! To bad the base damage is less then the one I have but I notice the fire is really useful and eats up the life on skags quickly. :p
