Bought an old BMW M3, filled with regret...

Excellent thanks, I've added it to the play store wishlist so will be easy to find when I'm logged into the unit. Can you remap what the RT button on the steering wheel does? The Parrot control options don't allow you to change that button. Would be nice to map that to an app or action.

I think you may be able to. I never use mine but I have noticed one brings up the phone book and the other one doesn't do anything iirc. I was able to change the NAV button from iGo to TomTom.

Have a look at this page. The factory settings password section allows you to enter some hidden settings. I wouldn't change things unless you know what you're doing as it's quite vague

Picking up on this, the R/T button with the original head unit brings up a phone book on the head unit itself, where you'd normally see radio frequency etc.

Erisin emailed me this morning asking if I'd like to be a UK reseller... Ain't nobody got time for that!

Went out for a blast yesterday during sunset. Was most excellent :D

Just been out for a quick spin to see if I've finally got rid of all the squeaks and rattles with the hood down, and it all seems nice and quiet! Of course the 5 mins turned into 20 mins which turned into 45 min's as the weather is lovely. The noise is glorious with the hood down and whilst the power won't set the earth on fire, it's more than enough for some entertainment!

No video though, I can't pull off the cam on my head like robbie can ;)

Aye, I live pretty much just off Portsdown Hill so know what you mean. Some pretty nice scenery over Portsmouth at night or on a nice day but you can't really make the most of it because of the dawdlers and dodgy visibility in places.

The foliage each side hinders the view ahead a lot of the time so you can't really slow in fast out of the bends too much as you never know what might pop round the other side (can find the full clip on my 'tube). Still, it's a nice road with varying levels of elevation and bends, with some nice views at the top (and bottom for the mist covered farmlands) depending on time of day. I like it because the foliage bounces around my induction noise :D

It's not as powerful as modern turbo performance engines sure, nor does it hit 60 in 4.2 seconds flat or anything like that, but I think the power for the weight and chassis is very nicely matched. It doesn't really ever feel too little or too much, and all of it is very usable I find.

I will sorely miss this engine when the time comes to replace this car.

There is a slight oil leak on my M3, one of the seels has gone on the Diff. Very slow leak, surprised Synter didnt pick this up last week! Anyhow ive got a quote from NCB autokraft for £360 to replace all seels, the oil and labour costs. Not happy about it but needs to be done. According to Noel from NCB he said most people are not even aware that these seels go, if i were you guys i would get the checked as a seized diff which can take years can cost £3000-4000.

You can buy a differential second hand for £200-£300, you can then get it fully refreshed like new, shims, seals, bearings the whole lot for around £500-£800 depending what is needed, so total cost is a maximum of £1500 and would be as good as new. :)

Its a lot of money to just throw down though to be honest, i have the money i just dont want to spend that much. I think the seels replaced and oil etc hopefully will do the job. Car only has 53k and has only done around 4-6k miles per year according to history. Ive got it parked up now, i only use on SUNNY weekends.

A few tedious fault codes have popped up today, nothing that has caused any lights on the dash or usability of any component, and I'm guessing the cruise control code relates to the wheel speed sensors, which I assume are just dirty.

The window one is common E46 issue, no rush to deal with it. Still, annoying.
