Brazilian Grand Prix 2012, São Paulo - Race 20/20

I don't know why but it irritates me. I find it easier to stick to Grosjean, but some people prefer nicknames

Same here. I don't like nick names.
I'm assuming that there is one guy on this forum who is coming up with these nick names which everybody else is using? I've not heard Fat John being used anywhere else, so I'm assuming it is just an OCUK thing.

Fat John is also used on OCAU and has been seen mentioned in an F1 thread on AtomicMPC

I've mentioned it myself but not on Atomic.

Lol, more 'stable' driver.

Be good for Kamui if he gets dropped from Sauber and then actually ends up in a faster car. Such a shame for Grosjean though. I actually rate him really highly when you look at his raw pace. He's clearly improved massively since his first outing in F1. Its just all the crashes are going to overshadow that completely. It doesn't matter how fast your driver is if he never actually finishes.

But in the races where he has finished, he really has outperformed Kimi though has he? (genuine question)

Aw, and I thought you all liked it when I call Hamilton The Messiah™....;)

Actually at the time, this name was pretty apt. If you'd asked most people who he was, it was an apt name as it was almost as if he'd been born to re-write the record books. I too "believed". I mean think about it, his first season in F1 and he matches Alonso...this is not supposed to be possible.

In hindsight, perhaps Vettel's name should've "The Messiah" as he is the guy actually re-writing records and owning F1.

Really?

The amount you have pedalled out 'the daddy' and you don't like nicknames

:D

Aww. The Daddy is not a nickname for any particular driver. The Daddy of F1, implies that that driver is the current standard. For many years (1994-2004), MSc was the standard by which every other F1 driver was measured. He then turned this mantle over to Alonso in 2006 (in 2005, Alonso had a better car).

These nicknnames are self explanatory. Fat John and Vimto are not really self explanatory. :p

So Koba to Renault and Perez to Mclaren... I think its a bit of dream come true in the sense that many people always asked "wouldnt it be great if these drivers were to drive for a top team".

Well Mclaren and certainlt Renault have proven to have the goods.... suddenly I think we can have many more drivers as potential contenders for the crown next year...

Sigh.... how many days left?
