Brazilian Grand Prix 2012, São Paulo - Race 20/20

Bear in mind some of these are pictures of the models based on current race wheels. There might be some slight differences (this image of the Ferrari wheel has radio and overtake buttons one way, the model has them the opposite way, for example) but I think they're mostly accurate. It's harder to get a good shot of real wheels in the car for obvious reasons. :p

McLaren MP4-27

Lotus E20

Red Bull RB8

Ferrari F2012

Force India VJM05

Mercedes GP W03

That Sauber wheel description says what I was thinking about that rotary switch. :)

It does? Where? I only skim read it and am about to go to a wedding. Do the work for me dam it and show me!! :p

Awesome pics of the wheels thanks.

Yeh thats a deal, also how about 80% of the so called fans who post in these threads think a little more before "jokingly" wishing another driver takes Vettel out? Maybe they want the old days back where we had 4 or 5 [sometimes more] drivers killed a year. Maybe that will stop F1 becoming boring for them?

Maybe they are just morons, who knows!

Cant wait for the flame war to begin after this but, frankly dont give a ****. Ive asked to be banned so hopefully this will now happen.

Want to read through the threads and see how many people "hope vettel" gets taken out posts there are?
Quite comical really but these days i come to expect it on here.

So because you dont like him he does not deserve to be the youngest 3 times WDC? Interesting.
childish? Like wishing another driver takes him out childish?

LOL

Edit: ban? Ooer?

Hang on, we've seen RBR mechanics in the pit literally jumping for joy after a competitor crashed out, so this seems like both a hypocritical and silly complaint from Sparky. Still sorry to see you go, I've valued your contributions here.

drunkenmaster, I think you may have missunderstood where Sparky is coming from... he works for Red Bull and has walked into a thread where almost everyone is wishing for Vettel to DNF or be taken out or basically to **** off. Given the monumental pressure that everyone at that team (and Ferrari for that matter) will be under I think you can understand why a forum of people willing someone to deliberately undo all their hard work might pee them off a bit.

He wasn't going on about the calls for Alonso DNFs earlier in the year. And besides, that bandwagon never really got started, the Alonso fans saw to that quite quickly. The Vettel bandwagon however seems to have 90% of the forum on it.

Seems like pretty poor representation of what is an awesome team then if that's the case. What's his job there? I'm going to guess at sweeping up?

On a previous point. If Vettel got rid of that finger, I genuinely feel he'd have much less 'hate' towards him.

For me personally it's the one thing that really bugs me about him, because apart from that, if you watch interviews and such with him, he's generally a really nice guy...

The frog noises are almost as annoying as the finger.

Were RBR running the new parts they supposedly shipped in from the factory yesterday or are they going to be putting them on today?

Going by Ted's video, they arrived Thursday evening (expected earlier that day), so would guess they were fitted for Friday running? I don't think they would be trying new parts on FP3 which is more about finalising set up and preparing for qually.

I know this might come as a shock to most of us, but some people actually enjoy their jobs.

I know, crazy isn't it!

Oddly enough, it's not crazy?
But if you really enjoy something anything you can't expect everyone to conform to your opinion, so you have to let somethings roll.

But come on, we're not children here, this doesn't really need to be picked at further

Well, yeah, that too. He's not a bad driver, but he's annoying as ****...

I think the point he was making though, is that if you work in a field, you're more likely to get emotive about other people's views.

I'm doing an economics degree, and tend to steer clear about discussions regarding the economy on the forum. Not because I don't enjoy the subject, but because some of the information spouted by some people is infuriating...

I'm super hyped for this weekend, bring on the action! Really couldn't care who wins, both are deserving.

I also hope Sparky returns again. Won't be long till it's all reset and we begin the madness once over.

Right above the in-car shot of the Sauber towards the bottom of the page:

If the weather changes and the team fit new tyres, the driver must reset the steering wheel to work with the new tyres. Wet tyres have a larger rolling-radius than dry tyres to raise the ride-height and reduce the chances of the bottom of the car aquaplaning. The settings need to be altered so that the electronics can continue to perform calculations effectively. The ‘RL’ on the rotary switch stands for ‘Rear Light’ or ‘Rain Light’ which activates the large red LED light on the rear crash structure so following cars are able to see the leading car in adverse conditions.

So lazy! :p

Anyone watching the classic gp on 301? Its 82 rio which I never realised was between a mountain and the sea/a lake.

Been fun to watch whilst wanting to sleep :)

Hi, I thought that now days the rear red light came on automatically with the wet tyre settings, as it does when the pit lane limiter is on. I believe it is like this because there was several incidents in the past with accidents, or near accidents, occurring because the drivers forgot to turn them on.
