Brazilian Grand Prix 2012, São Paulo - Race 20/20

What Skeeter is really trying to say in his own roundabout way is Alonso is not all that good. It has eaten him up the amount of support Alonso had on here and now he is kicking out. He went from being pretty neutral to Seb to a complete Seb fanboy when most were wanting Alonso to win, it was brilliant :D

I think my attitude to most of the top drivers has changed over the last few years.

Back in 2010 I thought that Hamilton could do no wrong, Alonso was a petulant child, Button was a journeyman and Vettel was lucky.

In 2011 I thought that Hamilton was the petulant child, Vettel and RBR were flawless (but I didn't like to admit it) Button was impressive for his consistency and I still didn't like Alonso but I thought he was growing up a bit.

This year Hamilton has been great but the team let him down and I still can't fathom the move to Mercedes, Vettel has had the luck of the gods in some races and he's impressed me in others but he's been the whiny child when it hasn't gone his way, Button has gone back to being a journeyman except for a couple of races and Alonso has been outstanding, both by driving like a man possessed and he's impressed me in interviews.

His attitude at the start of the year was a refreshing surprise and really impressed me. Most other drivers when given a less than perfect car and been hidden away from the press all winter testing would have found it all to easy to either say nothing, or just start laying into the car or the team for not being good enough.

His attitude of "we know were not good enough, we know what we need to do and we will work our butts of to get there, just watch this space" must have been a serious shot in the arm to the Ferrari team.

His attitude was much the same in 2010 and 11 so not sure why it would be a surprise to anyone this year.

Alonso just got a bad rep from his time at McLaren, when he did lose the plot but other than that he has always said the right things at Renault and Ferrari.

I can only think that because it was a TR it slowed down dramatically on the straight to let the RB through, going so slow what was Vettel supposed to do? He could have assumed the TR was having an issue?

If what McNish says is true, and I'm taking what he says with a pinch of salt considering he was the one who led me and many others to believe that the pass on Kobayashi was under yellow flags, then the yellow flag area starts in an imaginary line drawn adjacent to the marker, so does it also stop at the final marker?

Thinking about it from a safety perspective, surely the zone should start and end when the signal is on the drivers wheel since this is what he'll be able to see most clearly. This is most likely (and logical) IMO, hence Vettel clearly went past in a yellow flag zone indicated by his wheel.

The yellow flag zone ends when the drivers pass a green flag.

The Toro Rosso clearly backed off a lot though. Again we have no idea if the stewards had a look at this or not. Do the stewards enquiries get published?

HRT are for sale if Ferrari wanted to buy a back marker to help them out?

Actually, Toro Rosso are for sale too, and have been for a while.

If you look at the video his dash shows yellow and stays yellow till the whole car passes the green light.

There is no imaginary line as some people are saying here, vettel knew what he was doing and got away with it.

It's clearly an unfair advantage and it should be stopped.

Team orders I can cope with, but this is something very very different

What MS did felt awkward, even if his intentions were good. I think the Toro Rosso drivers will be more concerned about 'impressing' Red Bull and would naturally move across.
