Reading various forums and subs, I'm not seeing a single post from anyone who is standing up for Max, many people are posting saying "I'm a Max fan but....". He really is being panned by everyone for this.

I expect to see an interview from Jos soon saying how proud he is of Max

I voted this race a 9, if it hadn't been for that outburst, it would have been a 10.

I guess the Brazilians were threatened under gunpoint to vote for Lewis as driver of the day. Plenty of other drivers were more deserving than him.

It was a brilliant race from Lewis, totally deserved DotD. Taken out early by Max, he carved his way through the field, drove at great pace and recovered all the way to second place. Who else came close to that kind of drive? edit: Actually, Leclerc would be a good shout for DotD after he recovered from Norris shunting him off all the way up to 4th.

Plus all the hypocrisy over Max defying team orders, not like it's happened before is it?

Plenty of other drivers have defied team orders, yes, but I don't remember a driver miles ahead in a championship he's already won, refusing to give up sixth place to let his teammate keep second in the WCC. A teammate who has let Max past multiple times, and played wingman in dozens of races, in order to help Max out. What makes it so miserable from Max is how loyal a second driver Sergio has been.

Great race , well done George on your 2nd GP win . Great race this weekend and Max did himself no favours .

Have been saying this all along about George , debut season and beats a 7 XWC convincingly.

Convincingly? Until this weekend (George was very good this weekend, granted), Lewis has clearly had the better of George since he stopped with the experimental parts and setups.

Lewis took the punches for the team for the first third of the season.

I'm not saying George isn't the real deal though. He's clearly a very good talent and possibly future champion.

Max is a thoroughly dislikeable character. However, he is a product of his environment and it actually just highlights how Red Bull are as an entity from top to bottom. We've seen utterly ruthless treatment of drivers in their sphere time and time again, the behaviour of the team management when it comes to doing or saying anything which will benefit them no matter what damage it does to the sport etc etc.

I can't think of another team in the ~30 years I've been following F1 that deserve to be there less than Red Bull. Schumacher was pretty ruthless, as was Senna really but it didn't quite pervade the entire character of the organisations of which they were a small part. Very different with RB IMO. If they packed up shop tomorrow I'd not give them a moment's thought at another race.

Yep. Red Bull are just a horrible, toxic team and F1 would be better off without them.

Did he really expect Lewis to yeild to him? Lewis has little to lose and he has had enough of his ****.
Thing is, he definitely did expect him to yield. Because that’s how Max drives. I said to my other half I don’t care if for some reason the stewards found Hamilton technically at fault (even though obvious Max driving is obvious), it’s a good lesson for Max that you can’t simply barge your way through all the time. It’s going to be very interesting next year if those two are going wheel to wheel more.

And oh look the trolls are out again trying to make George’s performance a negative on Lewis

Makes me laugh every time.

Lewis has pretty much consistently beaten him since he stopped with the testing of experimental setups and parts and we haven't heard a chirp from the usual suspects.

George has a weekend where he beats Lewis by one place, even though Lewis got taken out and dropped back to 10th near the start of the race, and suddenly Lewis is rubbish again....

Same users every time. Absolutely rent free in their heads bless them. :D

Lewis has looked very ordinary this season for someone who is apparently so highly rated. I bet he's missing Bottas massively lol.
100% agreed. Lewis is a great driver but he’s has the benefit of an overwhelmingly better car for years. Some dude, who just moved from Williams, is at the very least equaling him.

George has the confidence to put forward strategy, which has worked for him, whereas Lewis relies on Bono 99% of the time.

The disrespect lol , hasn't Lewis out qualifying Russell ? That tells me he still has it Also hasn't Lewis been unlucky in few of them like the last one Russell going off ?
Also, Lewis had a experimental car that merc kept tweaking whilst Russell has had the stable build of the car.

Basically Lewis = Beta test car lol and Russell = stable branch car lol
