Audi was indicating and slowing for the junction, you pulled in behind and your auto headlights look to have come on going under the bridge, they were already braking before that point so no apparent brake check for 'flashing' your lights, possibly not sure if they needed that junction, you should have left enough space behind them to brake and stayed behind it, not attempt to get past them on a junction for a single carriageway exit.

Hardly a brake check.
