Breaking Bad Season 5 - Part I

Yup, 3rd September is episode 8 and the last this year. There is a whole load of other TV starting up in a couple of weeks though.

R.I.P. Mike. :(

This is great. The scene could have went this way.

From what?

The real ending of the show is immensely powerful, I'm not denying that. But this made me giggle like an idiot.

Ahh, only watched the first few seconds, thought you were posting the actual end of the episode.

What is that music from?

Perhaps I missed something but....

Mike leaves his bag at the airport then a few hours later asks someone to get it for him but doesn't want it to be Jesse. Does he know it will be Walt and expects him to kill him to protect his grand daughter? Or did leaving the bag happen years ago and is a flashback?

I think it was a get out plan in case anything happened, however that happened much quicker than Mike had anticipated.

This half of season 5 has been the best television I have ever watched.

My jaw was on the floor by the end of episode 7.

I knew as soon as the lawyer flipped that Walt had to kill Mike. Someone had to go and I guess it makes sense for it to be Mike.

The bit at the start of the show was interesting; Walt wasn't wearing his Heisenberg hat; clearly it means that his transformation from Walter White to Heisenberg is complete. They are now one and the same. Egotistical, arrogant and apparently completely ruthless.

I'm convinced that Tod is big trouble for Walt. The kid is a dead eyed killer with major connections. No way he's going to be fine with just being Heisenburg's gopher. He's going to learn the process and then Walt is going to be surplus to requirements.

The conversation that went (roughly)

Walt: All that's left is to talk money
Tod: We'll talk money when I've got this process down

Just leaves me to believe that the second Tod does know the process the split is going to be 100% Tod: 0% Walt. At that point I can see Jesse getting drawn back in.

Reckon the flash forward at the beginning of episode 1 is Heisenburg getting ready to have his last stand against Tod and is newly released from jail crew.
