Yea I got the 11.5a hotfix, I installed it before I played brink so can't comment on whether it made a difference, my fps is still crappy/stuttery considering my specs. They banged out a patch for 360, PS3, and PC a day after US release, before it was even out in EU, so fingers crossed.
 
okay so I tried the SP with bots to check the gfx and settings, ran like mud which really didn't help, quickly searched for a server and my fps shot through the roof. After just under an hours play I really like it, this is no CS or BF as it requires constant teamwork and it certainly has a lot of depth that isn't apparant from the off.

did bethesda use the character designer from the ill fated efffort that was APB ? it certainly has the same look and feel but with less customisable options until you unlock bits etc etc.
 
Been fiddling this morning with drivers. 11.4 pulled me anything from 18 - 40 fps, tried 11.5a hotfix drivers and it's worse as it adds stuttering, but does increase FPS a bit. Trying 11.3's now and then fiddling with the config program.

Let me know how it goes mate. I'm at work till 6 :( I'm just trawling through steam and brink forums though incase theres any fixes.
 
Mine shows it fine, 1 problem i having with brink is that im used to having different weapons sets for each class, like the soldier should have the heavy frame and some big weapon, where as the covert ops should have the light and some smg, but i dont think you can configure it that way, you need to switch weapons at a hub, which is a bit slow i think.

Last night it was terrible and I was posting here in rage, played with the settings a bit and it was a bit better but still bad.

Today woke up loaded up Brink all maxed except ambient occlusion and vsync and my frames are now through the roof.

Sucks I can't be of more help :(

I have only been playing online? I remember someone saying about the campaign single player being frame capped?
 
Yea I've been playing online too. If they iron out the issues its gonna be a great time filler for when BF3 comes out.

Sucks that its acceptable now for developers to release unfinished games.
 
Right I can confirm this fix works have good fps :D yes.
At last after installing ATI 11.5a 3-4 times, at last it shows as such in ccc.

Again make sure your drivers are reporting the 110505a driver package version in ccc.

I had previously already installed 11.5a, after seeing the above fix, it still took 3 more install attepmts to get the 11.5a 110505a driver package version showing in ccc.
 
So your performance is much better now?

Am I being blind, but the image still says 11.5? Should it be saying 11.5a?

I only installed it the once yesterday so will try again when I get home.

EDIT: I see where its saying 110505a now, will have to check when I'm home

my 470's go crazy with the fan speed with this game aswell muct be using 100% which is good getting 80-140 fps

how do we unlock the dlc stuff from the pre-order
 
Been playing with the config tool and drivers. Tried 11.4 (default ones I had one), 18 - 40 ish FPS. Tried 11.5a, about 25 - 50 fps but MAJOR stuttering throughout the game and cutscenes. Tried 11.3 and it's playing quite nice, 30 - 60 FPS, I'd say average around 42 ish. I've got shadows and ambient occlusion off, think I'll stick with these drivers for the mo'. [edit]: Actually will retry 11.5a to make sure they are stuttering when they are definitely on, I did have some issues installing them kept getting a popup saying ATI Host Manager or something had crashed.
 
Reinstalling 11.5a now but didn't get the crash of the host manager, not sure if this was just luck or because I only installed the bare essentials (CCC and drivers, not the other stuff like HDMI driver). Still hoping they get a proper driver out with much higher performance, as this game is just one of those games I could so badly do with about 4x AA on as there's so many sharp edges on the screen it's hard to see things properly due to a screen full of jaggies.

[Edit]: Nope, 11.5a just doesn't work properly for me. Huge stuttering in game, in the cuscenes and even on the main menu. As an example of what it's like, think of encoding a video whilst trying to play :)
