having being burned by homefront I’m off PC games for a bit. I really like the splashdamage chaps though from the closed ETQW beta we did so I really hope this works out for them well.

Server side it seems really well put together

The closed ETQW beta was good yeah - though I was quite annoyed by the way they didn't get round to transferring my account to the open beta for absolutely ages.

Looking to try this out but the whole 'disappearing' from UK Steam is a bit tiresome too...

How do you check your fps?

Is it a console command?

Just had a quick go using the 10.10 cats (Old I know) and seems very silky smooth online.

Our pink beer drinkers server was global number 1 for a good while. We prolly bumped into each other a few times. Was a real pity that game didn’t have the legs it should have had.

Agreed there. I thought it was a great game personally. Perhaps the learning curve was too steep for the majority of gamers though :/

I can't really remember which servers I played on, though I do seem to remember recognising you on here from ETQW.

Exactly the reason why I NEVER buy games on release. Homefront was hyped, but turned out to be a lemon.

Still not bought BRINK either, though I am hearing more and more reason why I would like it. They just need to fix the ATI issue as there is no way I am getting it until it is sorted.

open console and type com_showfps

Just to point out the 11.5a hotfix has made the game worse for a lot of ATi users, bringing the frame rate down further for some, and making it better for others but with regular major stutters.

They are still working on a driver that will rectify the problems though.

Hmm getting about 20-30 fps in an online game, but then that was with 16 AA and 16 Anis, thru the Brink configurator, but just ctd, figured out that guns are variable depending on you body type, im using the heavy at the moment so i dont die as quick.

Somewhat hectic, sometimes you dont even know how u died, hit lvl 10 today but that was doing the objectives solo, though just need the objective part on 3 stars to have done them all.

Is it true you only unlock attachments in 1 player?

Those arent that hard, but i think they can be done with 4 players though not sure how.

yer ya can do them by your self and only take about 2 hours to unlock everything

Annoying that I have to play the 1 player! Is it campaign or is it challenges?

Im gonna try every possible ATI fix when I get home. If anyone finds any do share. Will try reinstalling 11.5a as mentioned previously

Looks like I'll have to pop to a local game retailer to buy a *shudder* physical copy if I want to play this anytime soon.
