Most of the fun is to be had dressing ur dude up, after that I was horrified how bad the game play is - Its a shocker tbh.

Flashy menus, attractive (male) character models, every thing else... bleh.

Joystiq got this spot on with their 2/5 really, It is just pathetic that with no way to get a refund like you could with just about any other good released in this state, the devs will still make thoroughly undeserved cash off of it.

Yeah i'm sure Bioware/EA are patting themselves on the back for making a profit on DA2 as well.

Of course DA3 and ME3... well lets just say i certainly wouldn't want to preorder them right about now.

Overall it's a pretty good game, it's great fun. A nice blend of TF2/CSS and Battlefield.

Though it does have it's problems. Mainly in the form of lag / stuttering for whatever reason.

If the game is patched and these issues are ironed out it'll make a nice little filler until Battlefield 3.
 
It's hilarious that they made a big deal and commotion about themselves shipping a week earlier than the announced release date, yet botched up the entire release for all 3 platforms.

Coulda done with that extra week really couldnt they.

I say hilarious, I mean pathetic.
 
Well I've played over 8 hours today and I think it's really good, some servers are pretty awful but there are plenty of them and once you find a good one the hours fly by. Shame they released it in this shoddy state though as it will have a detrimental effect on what is cracking FPS with plenty of depth.
 
Just had a pretty decent game on the SAS beer drinkers server, no lag or banding butthere was some corruption on text, which is proberly a driver issue, but then i got into the next game played fine during warmup and then my fps dropped to 10, no idea why.

I reckon they wanted to release next month but then got forced forward because they clearly dont want to compete with anything and DNF is coming.
 
So buy or wait. I have an old card and cpu...

I bought COD BO but it was unplayable for 6 months and now it sits taking up valuable hard drive space....

Is this the same from reading the last page it sounds like it is?
 
Early days but I remember a developer commentary / video about the single player side of the game, and it looked really good. Just glad I haven't picked it up as yet. One to keep an eye on, see plenty of media and maybe when the price is much reduced, though it is possible after playing I might find it a better game than I first expected, so you never know.
