Redundancy day - did it go how everyone wanted?

I've not been selected and am pleased with that but one way or another I think there are going to be a few upset soldiers about.
 
One of my mates is in the army based in Germany and he REALLY wanted redundancy but didn't get it. He was too high up the grade boards. He's devastated, frankly, because he's been in the army since 16, has fought in Iraq and Afghanistan and was aware that he wasn't getting any younger and wanted to leave to start a family.

Devastated ain't the word.

As my first cpl said to me;

You've got to give head to get ahead :rolleyes::p

I've never lived by it, and found as long as you've got a decent SNEC you should be fine. Most of it's a lottery though.
 
Thanks just had confirmation from 5UB that forum members with the required posts get free shipping if you phone up to order as because from ocuk point of view it never leaves the uk if its sent to a bfpo address.
