British Grand Prix 2011, Silverstone Circuit - Race 9/19

Considering both Brawn and Whiting said that protests were imminent I wonder how likely they are to get unanimous agreement.

In addition, if it DOES go back then are the FIA not conspiring against RBR any more?

Ferrari have been suspiciously quiet ;)

If it is damp/wet race tomorrow, I expect Button to do pretty well.

If it's dry, I fully expect Hamilton to finish ahead of Button (extraordinary incidents permitting).

However, the big talking point has to be Alonso - will he have a better "race" car tomorrow? If so, surely, he will win tomorrow's race. Right?

I would happily bet that both McLaren's have better race pace than one if not both Ferrari's (given their not so fondness for the harder tyre)

(mind you saying that - they may never have to use it)

Given the curent performances ove rthe last few race weekends I suspect JB will beat LH no matter what (unless something electircal , mechanical upsets his race like in Valencia)

Wahoo, booked tickets to see senna tomorrow evening. :D motorsport madness.

Saw it about a month ago while I was in Cyprus, it was okay, I get Senna, always preferred him to Prost etc and the only Guy I ever wanted to see beat him was Mansell for obvious reasons.

I find the Story of Graham Hill (and his family post death) far more moving than that of Senna tho.

Watch it if you haven't

I'm not a fan of Senna, but even I enjoyed that movie. It was long, though.

If you think that was long, there's a 220min cut of the movie online!

I enjoyed the movie, even though it just made me hate Prost even more :D

Did you watch the download version? The theatrical version in cinemas is perfectly paced at 1:40 but a couple of work colleagues thought it was long when they downloaded it.

Absolutely loved it in the cinema - some really fantastic inboard footage that showed just how much harder to handle those cars were. Also a nice reminder of how good the cars looked back then.

Hammy wanting more time to prepare for the race.

When I re-sign the contract with McLaren they are going to be shocked at how many days they are not going to be able to make me do. I will be doing a lot less work. I definitely won’t be doing the whole period of time before the Silverstone Grand Prix, that’s for sure. I will have at least five days to prepare [for the race] in the future.”

<sigh> Is this the meltdown I was expecting yesterday in his post-quali interview?

Melt down?
Or more time to work with his engineers, simulator and other stuff. Without the business of doing constant media spots. They do seem to do a shed load, but then I guess we hear far more of it compared to other drivers.

I know the drivers have to do loads of **** outside the car for sponsors and the like, But it would be good if he tossed everything aside and concentrated solely on winning. I honestly think he has too much going on in his life atm, He doesn't seem as focused as some and then goes off on one when things go wrong.

He needs that ummm "eye of the tiger" :p
