If the 107% rule still existed there'd only be about 6 cars per GP.

It does still exist, came back in 2011. Only applies to qualifying.

Ricciardo certainly did one hell of a job. Verstappen other than the Vettel fight had a pretty quiet race.

Ocon finished 29s behind Vettel.

He did and he didn't, Ocon did one less lap because Ham finished the race after lapping them. Vettel crossed the line in the pit lane for the penultimate lap. They were miles behind but by the time he pit and got out of the pit lane that gap would have been dramatically smaller. They didn't show the actual pitstop but I'd imagine it would have been at least a little slow, those are often very slow though. Wondered if Hamilton would slam on the brakes and let the Force india's pass him into the final corner so they had a lap to see if Vettel had major damage and took ages in the pits he could potentially lose more places to them.
