Someone needs to tell Horner and Red Bull to

People should post that over all the F1 stories about RBR's whining and legal threats and general Markko whinges

Exactly. They have all signed an agreement which pretty much says anything goes short of murder.

Even if you get hit as a spectator, you might get some compensation but you can't sue the driver or team.

Their overreaction to this is really odd. It just makes them look really stupid. They have blown a fairly innocuous coming together on track into something it isn't.

Not sure what the game plan with all the drama is really. They still have arguably the fastest car, and still have every chance to win the title. Crashes happen in F1 and they are all experienced enough to be accepting this instead of throwing their toys out of the pram.

Someone once said that "There is no such thing as bad publicity".

Perhaps Red Bull know what they are doing . . . . . . . perhaps not

Horner doth protesteth too much, methinks, which leads me to wonder what are RBR hiding?

Nothing the guy is walking on thin ice as it is and is using this as a deflection. The only reason I will tune in to the next race will be to see if Lewis Hamilton wins and the reaction from Horner. It is sad when the politics are more interesting than the racing :P.

Can't he just use Eurocarparts :D

If Verstappen bins it again next race it will be hillarious.

RBR have said he wont be seeking revenge on track ... but he will be.. he can't help himself... I would not be surprised to see a repeat.. I just hope it pans out as this one did...no injuries and Max comes off worse for the points

RBR/Honda have already been suspected of installing illegal engine power upgrades this year. Maybe an attempt to deflect from that. When they installed a new engine a few races back suddenly they gained loads of performance.

Horner now saying

"I would like to make it clear - this was an on-track incident between two of the best drivers in the world.

"At the point in time when you have a driver in hospital and the extent of any injuries have not yet been made clear, your car has been written off and the stewards have penalised the driver seen to be responsible, it is natural that emotion comes into play, for all involved, whether you feel wronged or victorious"

That's an excuse for a rookie driver, not a well seasoned team manager of many years. He's just trying to backtrack whilst not admitting he was a dick now that he's seen the backlash against him, his golden boy, and his team.

I bet Marko was not impressed with "Red Bull Gives You Winge".

Wow, that's a hell of a climb down.

Someone has obviously had a word in his ear. Possibly lawyers concerned about libel?

Or maybe lawyers pointing out "motorsport is dangerous, participate at your own risk".

But again with the hospital rubbish. Really Horner? Really?

I shall make sure to remember this quote next time something happens to one of his drivers and he rushes off the pitwall to find every journalists microphone he can.

Not really. The first engines were discovered to have a vibration issue caused by parts of the engine not being manufactured to the correct tolerances. The engines had to be turned down to avoid reliability issues. This was rectified on the 2nd engines, so they can run at their full design power.

The Red Bull CEO has probably told him to have a word with himself.
