Broken spark plug :(

If I was to own a performance Vauxhall would many people recommend,

Thorney Motor Sport LTD
T/A Thorney Motorsport
Unit 16 Dunsby Road
Redmoor Interchange
Milton Keynes
Buckinghamshire
United Kingdom
MK6 4AD
T. +44 (0) 1908 238 798
F. +44 (0) 1908 238 799

What should I do if they did? After reading this thread and numerous other threads on here and other popular motoring forums I would be slightly worried to take my much beloved vehicle to such an establishment as,

Mainly because they seem to be a bunch of incompetent monkeys with the technical ability similar to that of my grandmother.

They're a Vauxhall Performance center ran by Thorney so I've been dealing with John Thorne directly who's arranging for the car to be inspected at a more local Performance center.

Inspected then what though? Its his faulty spark plug that has done whatever damage whats to inspect, he should be telling you the truck is on the way to pick it up and fix it.

It'll be fixed by them, that I'm sure. It's their fault either way. They either didn't check the tightness of the plugs (instead blamed the manifold) at the performance center and/or the stage 2 map wasn't removed. They really can't argue with that, I had a well respected forum member with me at the time as he was taking the milltek for his car. For what it's worth, it took Marshalls 10 hours to swap my milltek to the buyers car and his standard exhaust to mine!

or perhaps they correctly fitted the sparkplugs on the second astra which you know takes CONSIDERABLE TIME, started working on a random third astra (imagine touching that many astras in a day??) accidently got the sparkplug in the lambda boss and when they realised they should have been working on princeys car, they just didnt have enough hours left in the day to do those plugs up properly... just did em hand tight and crossed their fingers

they didnt cross their fingers enough

may or may not be responsible for your car failing?

It's going to be booked into a performance center, they'll have to cough up because the stage 2 map is still on when I asked for it to be taken off, which caused the engine to run much hotter.

I have conformation from Tim Abbots who is the service manager at Thorney.

EDIT: Sorry misread, I had a friend with a tech2 and bluefin pop over and he confirmed that I am running the stage 2 Aggressive map.

id rather trust a bunch of chimps and a haynes manual to performance tune my vauxhall than :

Is it worth taking it to a neutral garage and getting a printout of this info...you know just incase when you take it to TMS they don't ahem...accidentally put back on the standard map version and claim it was there all along? Call me a pessimist if you will!
