Nickg said:have u seen jackie's earlier works, Snake in the Eagle's shadow, drunken master, snake and crane etc. if not u NEED to see these films. i was a lee fan and then i finally saw chan's movies and i was in awe of chan.
jackie had a tougher frame than lee ever did, and i dont think that lee would win 10 rounds out of 10 if they fought.

Buttkicker said:Gracie was a world class MMA fighter (one of the greats) Bruce Lee has no record at all as a pro fighter, a few exibition bouts here and there and movie star buddys etc, does not make him a World class fighter
this thread is about could Lee take on Fedor Emelianenko
Same as Bruce Lee and his 'fighting' in films.MookJong said:But what have the fancy choreographed movements in those films got to do with real combat....absoloutly nothing at all.

Do you even know what the 'Opera' he did entailed? If you think that its 'Opera' in the sence of what we have over here, then your vastly mistaken.Chan grew up in the Chinese opera doing stunts and acrobatics Bruce Lee grew up on the streets of Hong Kong and was a scrapper.

I think this quote is the most telling of all, Gracie was a genius, he came along with BJJ and kicked ass, no-one could touch him. Then people decided they needed to find out how to kick his arse and promptly did. Now if gracie stepped into the ring he would get his butt kicked. This was a guy who reigned at the top for a couple of years who is now, comparitively a nobody.
Lee would not have won, inside the ring or outside. If you watch more than just the highlights you will see what a amasing technical fighter Fedor is. He is VERY fast, amazingly so for his speed, he can manouver out of almost any position. People say his skill is to get you on ground and pound, he is a very good boxer, he does use wide swinging punches but he uses them very effectively. He is not fighting muppets in that video, these are seriously good fighters. He can also take a beating, you don't get in the ring with these guys if you can't, the highlights don't show you that ... for the guy who said he looked tired they are 10min 10min 5min, these arn't 3 minute boxing rounds!
Lee wouldn't have won, he was an amasing athlete and an amasing fighter i admit but he wouldn't have beaten Fedor. end
