BT Infinity & FTTx Discussion

nayan, same thing happened to me when i woke up. rebooted draytek modem router and go the upgraded speeds :). Seems tho my upload is not at the 17meg that BT estimated, I am still synching at 10014 but i think my cabinet is full and a lot of cross talk :(.

Hopefully when 30a comes across that will fix that. Anyway downloading at 6.6mb/s so the download got a big boost :). Not bad for a free upgrade

I've rebooted my hardware but this didn't help, I guess the only thing I can do is wait for now.

BT speedtester says my upload IP profile is 20mb though. I just have to hope it'll get better over the course of the day!

No change to mine, looks like I'm waiting till the 19th for whatever reason.

Welcome all you late-comers to 80/20! Fun isn't it?!
At least you didn't have to pay though. Zen announcing their prices next week (for the mean time my connection is still 80/20 for free), we'll see how much they want for it :rolleyes: (not that I'm paying)
 
Can someone who's been upgraded post some line stats? interested in seeing the SNR.

My current sync is 75Mbit with 16 SNR, hoping the SNR will go down and ill hit closer to 80Mbit!
 
So before i upgraded to Infinity i was getting aprrox 14.26mb/s down & 1mp/s upload. After getting everything installed yesterday im now running at 37.9 DL and 11 up.

Not the average of 68/20 i was promised but im literally after putting down the phone from a courtesy call from BT to say the speeds will fluctuate for the next 7 to 10 days but come the tenth day, if not before, i will have my top speed locked in.

Happy enough so far :D
 
What prices are you guys paying for 80 / 20 ? I just was looking to do an upgrade and it looks like price will hike from paying 35 a month to 40 a month.

EDIT: ah that's because first 3 months are free on the one I am on now. 40/10

Logged into MyBT there to check the service. Under my broadband it shows as 38Mb down and 9Mb up. Has anyone else's been changed in there?

I,m not on Infinity but if i read it right its £20 p/m for 3 months then £26 p/m after that plus the line rental which is £10.75 p/m or £14.75 if you pay monthly as i see things there is no charge for the upgrade
