BT Infinity & FTTx Discussion

Which VOL number did you guys use? I haven't been sent an email with a VOL number since upgrading to 80/20 contract.

An OVH box with seedboxes.cc, well actually I have a few but I find seedboxes.cc to be the best.

@Doug - Yeah maybe not, worth a try tho :D.

Hi There thanks i have found the seedboxes.cc website but what is an OVH box ? sorry i,m a bit thick lol:confused:

My BT > My Services > Broadband > Track Your Order > Put your Sales reference number then your postcode and click track this order.

E.G: It's a combination of letters and numbers: for example BTCOM12345678 or AGTAA123456.

Your VOL number will appear.

Surely the sales reference number is from when you ordered? If this was outside of those timescales for the voucher they can track it easily.

Given up on Sky, ordered BT Infinity. Install date is 30th April :D

The install process sounds massively annoying. Why do I have to have an 'engineer' plug a modem in? They also seem to only give you a 5 hour timeslot. Taking an afternoon off work only to find he turns up at 17:30 will be annoying.

They will call from the can to let you know your line will go down while they swap over then come to you when it's done (should only take a few mins)

As a minimum at the house they will swap the faceplate on your master socket and make sure your up and running - 10 mind tops

If you want / need the extension kit or master socket moving that may take some time depending on where and how much of a convoluted route it is

Harder the job the more brews and biccies I suggest you have on hand ;)
