BTCC 2013 Season

What a great win :D The circuit isn't too bad, it's great to drive and has some changes of elevation you can't see on TV.

The crowd went mad when Austin won and also in race one when Austin took Shedden just as they were going to cross the line. We were in the top of the covered stands and it was one of the biggest reactions I've seen at a BTCC.

Much better racing this weekend, chuffed for Rob getting his first win.

Nice to see the emotion of someone who just loves to race. IMHO he's probably one of the most talented racers out there too. It's quite obvious that the wet conditions separates the men from the boys too.

Also nice to see Jackson have a consistent weekend too.

It looks really nice, I think I would prefer to see more saloons than hatchbacks however...

Also I thought the A class would be too small for the NGTC regs?

I seem to recall a minimum length of 4.4m was set. That said, the current Civic and Focus must be less than that. A typical mid-size hatch is 4.2-4.3m.

A Class is 4.2m
Focus is 4.3m
Civic is 4.3m

They tend to put larger bumpers on to stretch the length to meet the criteria, but that A class is going to need some big bumpers!!

Width is equalised, hence the bodykits. Maybe length is not measured from the production car?

Skoda did similar to get around WRC rules - hence the original Fabia vRS. 4.01m with big bumpers that added a couple of inches... ;)

Still poor driving lower down the order. And itv persist on showing the leader cross the line, despite there bing a tight battle for 3rd resulting in a difference of 0.008 seconds at the finish line. Frustrating.

MG's and Toyotas clearly have an advantage this weekend. Great racing from Matt Neal to finish 3rd. I think I want to see Turkington take the championship however.
