BTCC 2013 Season

It's good enough, some shots/circuits need mega reach which is why you see some photographers carry around these massive bazooka like lenses but for the most part 70-300 is a good range, or Canon's 100-400 but that's just over a grand...

what should be spent on a 70-300 then? dont need anything spectacular as im on a small budget just to get decent photos at circuits etc..

Snap. Booked my tickets this evening. Hopefully it will be a great days racing.
yup! im hoping to get down near druids/paddock hill, then maybe round to clearways.
im having to leave at half 5 in the morning.....i wanna get to the pitwalk and that's at 9:10! gunna be a long day.

about to order my tickets, then i need to decides weather im going to rent a lens or not.

You been to Brands before? I've been a few times, but never for the GP circuit so looking forward to walking around the back for views I haven't seen before.

nope, this season is the only season ive started attending races. im hoping to go to a few more next season.
ive been told that although you dont see as much of the track, your closing to the racing (depending on where you sit)

You'll need to queue early for the pit walk.

Sterlings and Dingle Dell are good places to watch on the GP loop, no need to walk miles either as you can use the bridge behind Druids and you're pretty much there. Paddock hill will be packed.

just looked in to dingle dell, didn't realise they go through there on two wheels! that could make for some very good photos depending on where i get to stand, im looking to stand down at sterlings.

You'll probably want to wear boots as it gets muddy on the paths inside the GP loop, but it's good to watch from, it's just the cars are a bit more spaced out so it doesn't seem as 'exciting'. If you have a radio, take that too as they broadcast the commentary so you can keep tabs on what's going on.
