HAHA you guys are so funny, can I get in on the bets? might need the money if something goes wrong.................

Well guys its going really well, listened to all the advice, really taken my time, no rushing and so far so good :p I guess I have had plenty of practice now

I have a successful post with 3 beeps indicating no graphic card

Is this a dream, has someone implanted this in my head............

Holy mother of god. Finally!

I hope you brought Left 4 Dead 2 and not Left 4 Dead...

Also do some cable management like moving the 24 pin behind the mobo and through the hole.

Question on case fans:

The case has 3 whites fans (3 connectors)
2x 140mm fans (1 connector)
Blue led ring (1 connector)

The motherboard has space for 3 channel fans and 1 power fan
I assume the 3 white fans connect to the 3 channel fan slots on the motherboard,
the 140mm fan x2 connects to the 1 power fan on the motherboard
and the blue ring connector I assume connects to one of the PSU extensions

Is that correct

Yeah I reckon so. By power fan do you mean one with PWM? i.e 4 pin?

Mate haven't read the full thread, but I would suggest building pcs with another place as they offer insurance in case you ****** things up :p

Not sure if OC have checked out this thread, the motherboard probably went through there normal testing procedures, I haven't tested the first motherboard since I got it repaired, I advertised it on gumtree with details about the pins, if that fails then ebay and then probably the bin..

If you can't get rid of that Mobo, I will take it ;)

i have just read complete thread.
i am SO glad you got it sorted :)
i was fairly stressed for you around page 2 & 3.

the moral of this story :p
research, research, research and then ask for advice

last year i changed my case, and i spent HOURS looking around net before i done it.
then i realised it was really easy ;) but still not sure if it was the research or commom sense ;)

good luck and happy gaming

Well after disappearing once again, I am once again back on probably teh longest build in history.

Connected up all fans onto the motherboard, apart from the 2x 140 mm fans

We now have light :o

Monitor finally kicks into action, but no HDD detected, I better check them sata connections.

Brilliant, now remember to

1 - power off the PC, turn off the switch on the back of the PSU and flick the power button on and off. If you do this quick enough you'll sometimes notice the fans light up and spin momentarily as the system discharges any residual charge.

2 - Touch a radiator to get rid of any static.

3 - Start working in side the PC

ps those sata connections are flimsy so easy does it mate
