Burnout Paradise - The Ultimate Box

This game is great stress-relief, nothing better to chill out for half an hour with and then get back to work.
Haven't ventured online yet, but I'm curious - can you only race with the cars that you've unlocked offline, or do you have access to all of them?

In the freeburn mode (I think that is what it is called), you automactially go into the car you are driving at the time, and can only change to one of the cars you have unlocked in the junkyard. However, in races, I think the admin guy can choose your car, I remember getting cars way above my level when I started, so naturally I kept crashing them!
 
Anyone using this with the G25? The game only seems to be picking up the 360 joypad and not my G25. It works great with the rest of my racing games (GTR Evo, GTR2, GTL, Grid,Dirt etc) Ive tried starting the game through the profiler and without but it dont make any difference.
 
Yeah, I kinda miss aftertouch takedowns too, but I guess with the online focus of this game it would've been pointless to put them in.

I haven't got the hang of Showtime either, and I dont think it's as interesting as the old crash mode.
 
Got it, and I like it.

Don't know how they programmed the eye-tracker software though. You know, when you take a millisecond's peek at the mini map or the street names, how the program detects that small moment to throw an oncoming car at you. :D

It does this by nature any ways. I always get a couple of laughs in freeburn when I tell the computer to F-off with drivers constantly turning into me! :o
 
awesome game

I agree that the new burnout game is awesome, runs so well on my pc on highest settings, everything looks so realistic, would be nice though if the cars were actually real cars instead of Critereon made up ones!! Other than that, brilliant game, with great online features, which work FAQ

Ok I have no idea what plumbytes is on about but if it is piracy related please note that we don't allow the talk of it on these forums due to its illegal nature so please don't do it
 
balls, i need 2 smash gates (yellow things) and 1 billboard but i cant find them anywhere at all, ive looked in the areas where the game says i have 1 missing from each downtown and harbour town :( and the billboard is in whitehills :( driving me insane this is.

Actually scrap the above, got them all now, got the Carbon GT Concept and a Carbon Montgomery Hawker yummy

No crashes at all here (first time for everything!) :D

Loving the Montgomery GT 2400 mmmmmmm now I just need to stop crashing on the last bend, on the burning route... ARGH!
