Bye Bye BMW...

Seriously, what is this all about? He likes his car and colour combo. What is the issue here?

Not to your tastes obviously, no need to be utter idiots about it though

I can sort of see your point but history shows J1nxy is a mature poster and therefore won't and hasn't taken offence.

Not liking someone's colour combo should be water off a duck's back unless you have a womb and it's the wrong time of the month.

:)

Read the rules - no personal attacks. Surely people are allowed to express opinions regarding colour choices of cars without being called 'idiots'?

Bad joke there fella.

It isn't a personal attack. People are entitled to opinions, it is how they project their opnions which gets peoples backs up.

I feel that people are persecuted far too easily, especially in motors, about personal choices they make with their cars and usually by the same culprits.

I took a look at them a few weeks ago, very nice little cars.

I wonder how long until a XFR can be hand for under 25k? a low milage 2010 can be picked up for around 41k now so I assume another year and half:)

Pics please, sounds like a good choice colour-wise given kids (having two kids and cream leather I know what I'm talking about!)

Maybe you should wait for people to complain rather than wade in with your size 10s and take the thread totally off topic?

Apologies for de-railing the thread somewhat but I am sick of these kind of posts. Makes reading the forum as a mod and as a member very tiring and uninviting.

For new member wanting to post and seeing eplies like that makes it very daunting, it also gives this forum a bad rep.

I agree to that.

I do like black cars though, but they are a massive PITA to keep clean. Looking forward pics.

So what? I simply commented that it isn't to my taste, big woop, that is what this forum is for, if you take offence, you should not be on the internet.

It was the first, rather mean spirited response to a write up that had been given a lot of effort, by someone who is excited about their new car. You had nothing better to say than that? You and Fox sounded unpleasant.

Agree too.

Now I want pics! Always liked the XF since they introduced it.

Also share the OP's views on BMW dealers, but I dont think its limited to BMW! Had the same issues with Audi dealers tbh, but eventually found a good one. Never a truer word said than "people buy from people" and if the staff at the dealer can be arsed to engage with the prospective customer they are almost guaranteed a sale and customer loyalty; but you get the impression that a lot of dealers feel that a customer is somehow "lucky" to be buying a car from them

Now theres a shock

Anyways, back on topic. no point in derailing this thread like 9 out of 10 on here. OP sounds very happy with his purchase. They are fanastic cars. Its what I would like in a year or 2. Just cant really justify spending that much when I work from home so the car is sat on the drive all the time.

At my local cooper bmw I found a car and ended up walking out after getting naff treatment from a spivvy salesman, called and made an appointment with someone else, nice guy, made an effort on the deal, bought it. You are right, it's down to the individuals in large part.

Hardly, I just stated that I did not like the colour combo, there are and have been much harsher comments about other people's choices of cars/colour combos etc. jump down off your horse now please. ;)

If you don't like my view of the car, ignore it, it is rather simple. The OP actually was nice and explained the reasoning behind the interior colours (still wouldn't stop me getting something other than black.grey mind), yet everyone else took offence on what I said. Seriously, this forum is a right joke these days with members 'protecting' other ones because they dislike someone else's view.

untwist your knickers pal, I was giving my opinion, just like you

Sounds ace, congrats on your purchase. :) Jaguar have certainly gone up a level in the last few years.

Have to say we've had similarly disappointing experience with BMW throughout ownership, Audi are about the same and Mercedes being noticeably the best in customer service.
